Kayla POV:

"Can I say again how stupid this entire thing sounds?" Tessa says as we make our way through the reaper tunnel in search of Octavia.

"Yes Tessa. And for the the hundredth time, we don't care" I reply to her as we make our through further and further.

We come to a stop as we run into Octavia, who rolls her eyes at us and turns around to walk away.

"You stayed" Clarke says as she's surprised to see the girl still here.

"Screw you. Of course I stayed. I know where my loyalties lie" she faces down Clarke.

"We have to get in there" Clarke says as she rushes past Octavia, only to be pulled back by the younger girl.

"If that was possible, you think I'd still be out here?" She says as we see Fox's body laid out inside the bin, her eyes unmoving. Dead.

The first body out of the many in sure they are planning to have.

"Why did Lexa sound the retreat" she asks, looking at Clarke, buts it's I who answers her.

"Because Lexa is a selfish bitch who can't keep her word. Should have killed her when I had the chance" I mumble toward the end of my rambling. Clarke just walks away as she answers Octavia this time.

"She made a deal with Mount Weather. Freed the grounders. Now we're on our own" she knocks on one of the doors leading inside the mountain.

"Stop! They'll know we're here" Octavia warns Clarke, who just shrugs it off.

"What about Lincoln? There's no way he'd of gone with a plan like this?" She asks, slightly looking around for her boyfriend.

"He didn't. They took him" she asks, aiming her gun at the keypad, only for Octavia to knock it down.

"What is wrong with you?"

"I am getting through that door!" Clark exclaims.

"And that's your plan?" She mocks Clarke.

"I have them" Clarke gestures to me and Tessa, who waves her hand at them to let them know she's still here.

"And they'll get gunned down halfway through tearing down their army. Bellamys counting on you, Clarke. Everyone is always counting on you!" Octavia yells back.

"Well what do you want from me" Clarke says frustratedly.

"You trusted Lexa. You let a bomb drop on Tondc, you let all those people-" she gets cuts off by Clarke.

"I am doing the best that I can!" She cries back and I decide to step in and end this shit.

"Okay can we all just take a second here! Let's calm down and use our heads. Octavia" I call to the girl who stares at me with fire in her eyes. "You're clearly still made at Clarke. Yes she has done really stupid things in the past, things we still can't forgive her for, but she is the best we've got for a leader and you know it. And Clarke" I turn to the girl who is trying to keep her emotions in check. "You have done some terribly stupid things, which you have blatantly ignored, but some have worked in our favor. At the end of the day, we all make choices that aren't easy, but it's hard to forget the fact that the adults sometimes are right. We're still fucking kids and we don't have all the answers, but we still do our best with what we're given. And we've been given jack shit. So let's pull our heads out of our asses and use them correctly! Okay?" I turn to the two girls and see them nod slowly as they eye each other.

"Okay wait, let's take a second and rewind, you knew about the missile" Tessa says, looking at Clarke with death eyes, and Clarke sighs in premeditated defeat.
