Camp settled down a little more, making it easy for me to go to sleep easier, but as fast as the silence came, was it gone just as quickly.
'A girl really has to struggle for some shut eye around this place', I thought to myself.
Begrudgingly getting up from my spot on the floor, I made my way out of the tent to see just what everyone was looking at.
It was something falling out of the sky. It was a drop ship, which was falling pretty quickly, but the parachutes deployed just in time. As I was able to gaze at it closer, it couldn't have been supplies. They would need a bigger cargo hold to support just under 100 kids now.
I assume it's a person in there, which I don't know why they would do that for. Although, if it was a person, that means they would have a communication to the Ark, which means we might have a chance at survival. My face broke out into a smile at the thought of talking to dad again. I know the girls would be happy to hear from him.
I looked around the camp, seeing everyone talking animatedly, except Bellamy, who, if I could describe it better, had a look of pure horror on his face as he realized what could be in the pod.
And that made me narrow my eyes in suspicion.
'What are you hiding Blake?'
****
"We should definitely go find it now" I said to him, trying to convince him leaving now would be the best possible option.
"We aren't leaving Oro, now stop asking" he said, annoyed.
"I don't know why we can't leave Blake, it's not like we're harming a lot of people. Send me out with a few people and we'll check it out" I try again.
"I said no Sarah! This camp, no matter how hard it is to say out loud, needs you, so you're staying here. We'll go in the morning, now get some sleep" he said, now visibly annoyed by my presence and persistence, though I was still on the fact he used my first name.
"Listen to me clearly Blake. I spared your life today, something that as the time passes by, I'm starting to seriously regret. I saw the look on your face when the pod came down, and now that it's just us, I want to know what you did to get on the drop ship" I said, stepping closer to him.
"I don't have to answer to you Oro, you answer to me" he said confidently.
"No, you answer to me Bellamy. Because I am the one person in this camp who has the balls to kill you and not blink an eye. But I told you I'll spare your life for your sister, but if you provoke me, I won't hesitate" I glared up at him.
"Tough talk for someone who hasn't killed before" he scoffed.
"Oh and you have?" He immediately gets this guilty look on his face and I know I have him caught, but for some reason, I decide not to push. I already have the essential piece of info I need.
"I said you were the best option for these kids Bellamy," I say to him, making my way out the tent,"but you are still extremely selfish and only thinking numbers 1 and 2, when you should be worried out number 1 through 100." I then walk out the tent and back to my own.
Hopefully the idiot comes to his senses. You can only talk to stubborn people so many times before you just wanna rip their larynx out and feed it to them.
****
Needless to say, I was going to kill Blake.
He just left through the gates a few minutes ago, and I'm currently gathering my things to follow the idiot because not only can he get his ass killed, but he's going to do something to the pod and I'm not letting him do anything to our only means of communication back home.
I see the smoke trail still in the sky to where it landed, so I'm gonna check it out. Whatever or whoever is in that pod has got something for communication and we desperately need to report the situation down here before anyone else comes down.
I walk past the gate and stop when I hear shouts to stop.
"Where do you think you're going?" A kid at watch demands me, making me raise my eyebrow at him.
"Im finding the pod, now go back on watch" I say harshly before turning back around.
"Bellamy said nobody leaves camp, including you. I can't let you leave" he says, a determined look on face.
"Oh yeah?" He nods and I smirk at him,"then stop me?"
I stand there waiting for him to try something, but he sighs and backs off.
Smart move kid.
I continue my journey through the woods, following the trail to the ship. I don't know how long I'm walking for, and I'm not really keeping track, too busy focused on my surroundings and staying on path to the new drop ship.
I see the clearing where the drop ship is and before I get there I hear someone behind. I could fight them, but that would be way too much and put too much strain on my still healing injuries, which I totally forgot about until just now. I pull out my gun and point it at the person, finding, you guessed it, another grounder. He sees the gun and doesn't move, but he isn't in a fighting stance. I see him more clearly and he's tanned skinned with tattoos covering his torso and paint covering his face, his long hair in a braid, and scowl on his face. He has a curved sword on him, one I really would like to steal off him right now.
"Eyes up here, not on the merchandise" his gruff voice catches me almost by surprise and stare back up at his eyes, my finger never leaving the trigger.
"What do you want grounder?" I say to him, my voice devoid of emotion.
He stares at me before speaking, "I've never seen a sky person before. I got word that the space riders had returned and I wanted to see it for myself. From what I gathered you're just children, but you don't look like a child"
"Yeah I'm not. I'm also more deadly than some these other grounders, and I'm holding a deadly weapon. Now that we got the obvious shit out of the way, what do you want?" I said more forcefully this time.
"I already said: I was curious. But trust me when I say you don't want to kill me" he said, still looking into my eyes.
"Oh yeah? And why is that?" I asked him, titling my head.
"Because you're already in a war with Triku, and I highly doubt you want the Sand Warriors knocking at your door" he said, making me slightly confused.
"Who are the Sand Warriors?" I asked.
"Somebody you don't want to meet. Don't worry. We're peaceful until people try to step to us. Not even Azgeda wants those problems." I frowned at the name, but didn't ask who that was. He said it like Azgeda was a powerful group, but he's sure his fighters are better.
"Are you the leader of your people's?" I ask.
"The Desert Nation has many people, but I am next in line for my group of people" he says, then looks out into the horizon," I must be going, unless you're going to kill me?" He said, almost expectingly.
"No. Like you said, we can't afford a double sided war. Do I at least get a name?" I asked.
He smirked, then whistled. A horse came up to him and it was absolutely beautiful. He climbed up on the horse, his muscles flexing has he did so.
"My name is Drogo" he kicked off at that but not before relaying one more message to me.
"When your war is over, you should travel West." Then he took off.
And I kept that statement in the back of my head for safe keeping.
****
If you watch Game of Thrones, you know who i based Drogo off. I basically took the damn name, but I'm gonna make him different from the game of thrones Drogo. Less savagery, but still grade A savage.
Also got the next chapter planned out and it's gonna cover the rest of the episode before I move on to the next episode.
See you next time ✌️️
