December 23rd: Day 8
"He is so in love with you, oh, my god!"
I was on the phone with Zoë, you may have guessed already that she was the one shouting in my ear in the morning. It was my own fault, really. I had called her up because I had been so panicked because of what Sean had said when he had left the day before.
I had sent her a text first, showing her the pictures I had taken yesterday. She immediately called me to shout at me how 'in love' Sean was.
"I mean, he told you he also thinks you are way better than his last girlfriend and the way he looks at you instead of at the camera.. Everything is enough to conclude he totally likes you!" she squealed and I knew she was really excited right now.
"Let's not jump to conclusions, alright?" I chuckled as I was still in bed, warm under the covers. I did not want to get my hopes up. It was kind of crazy wasn't it? I had known this guy for a week and I already liked him. It was a miracle.
Zoë sighed. "We'll see. I bet you two will be together by Christmas."
"Bye Zoë," I laughed and I could hear her laugh too before she also said goodbye and we hung up. It was already 10am and Sean had not texted me yet. I knew we were going to bake cookies today, but I did not know what time they were expecting me.
I looked up when I heard a knock on my door. "Come in," I said and I smiled when I saw it was my dad who opened the door. "Morning, dad. What's up?"
"Morning, darling," he smiled. "Mom told me you were going to Sean to bake cookies today. I can drop you off on my way to grandma, depends on what time you're expected?"
"I'll text him," I nodded, "and then I'll go get ready so we can leave when he tells me when I'm expected."
My dad nodded and gave me another smile before he went out of my room. I quickly texted Sean and then made my way to the bathroom. I washed my hair, got dressed and did my makeup. I decided to wear a fitting sweater for today and then made my way downstairs to have breakfast.
Almost forgetting my phone, I walked back into my room. I saw Sean had texted me back already.
Hi. You can come as soon as you'd like. Don't forget to bring the old Barbie movies though, Lilly is really excited to see them. Sean.
I smiled, making a note to myself I should not forget the movies.
Great. I'll be there within 30 minutes then. I'm taking my favorite movies with me. Noelle.
I grabbed my bag and put my stuff in there before I walked down the stairs. My dad had already made me some toast with Nutella. I gave him a thankful smile before taking the plate and sitting down at the table.
"Honey," my dad sat down in front of me with a cup of coffee, "what is going on with this Sean boy?" He chuckled. "I mean, your mom only told me he is a new friend of yours who is actually making you go outside, but that's all I know."
I laughed a little. "Well, I was at the bookstore with Zoë and this guy shoved me to the side to get at the front of the queue. It was Sean. I became a little mad at him, but he just did not seem to care. Later, when we were in line for the checkout, I was rambling to Zoë about why I do not like this season. He heard, because he was apparently standing in front of me, and turned around and acted like he was offended what I said about winter and December and everything. Later, the cashier gave me his number on a note that he had left for me, asking me to text him because he wanted to do something about my hate for this season."
