***Yes I know I said there was going to be a time lapse but I kinda want to get there *friendly encounter* (Idk what to call it because technically they are not dating. Remember Calum's girlfriend?) out of they way first and get some insight into that because this is the first real Malum seen with both parties being silver. I will probably have the time lapse in the near future. I also want to say thank you so much for the 89 reads and 19 votes. I look in the mirror. I guess this will have to do. I am wearing a red button up flannel, black ripped skinny jeans, and a black beanie that poked out my blue hair even more. God, I look like a teenage girl. I put on a brave face but on the inside, I am trembling.
Was this a date? I don't think so. He did have a girlfriend, but he did say that he was closeted and that he didn't want to come out. If this was a date would I be okay with that? Okay with him not wanting to come out? Why would he go on a date in public if he is closeted? Damn, this boy was confusing.
With one last look in the mirror, I am out the door. Dear Jesus, don't let me regret this. I'm not in anyway religious though I grew up in a very religious household. Every Time I went to church nothing really made sense to me. I walk down the road to the cafe and my hands start shaking. I still have the habit of going to Jesus whenever I need something though.
I walk into the small but warm cafe and scan the room for Calum. I see him in the corner sipping a coffee having already ordered. I slowly walk over and he looks up watching me come toward him. I smile. "Hi."
"Hey." He replies. I go and sit in the seat next to him.
The waitress comes and takes my order. "Hot chocolate," I tell her. She smiles and walks away to make it.
"Hot chocolate?" Calum asks me with eyebrows raised.
"Yeah, I hate the taste of coffee," I tell him sheepishly.
He laughs quietly. "I have never heard that before."
"Yeah, beats the whole point of 'getting coffee'" I say jokingly.
He laughs his nice low laugh. "You are a unique person I have ever meet, Michael Clifford."
"I'm not sure I can say the same about you, Calum Hood."
He clutches his chest and gasps. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"I'm just saying, you're not the most colorful crayon in the crayon box," I say with a shrug of my shoulders.
"My heart." He gasps as though he was dying. "It's broken."
"Oh my God," I say pausing gasping as well. "You have a heart?" I say as though it was the most ridiculous thing in the world.
"Nope. It's gone. You ripped it out and ate it." He says laughing. We settle down when my drinks come. I pay the waitress and say my thanks. I go to take a sip of the drink in my hand when the scalding hot liquid burns my tongue. I scream out slightly and Calum laughs. "Burn yourself did ya?"
I glare at him slightly. "No," I say sarcastically. " It was cold.".
Calum puts his hand up in defeat. "Sorry. Sorry." I set my drink down not wanting to drink it anymore. Calum already finished his. Calum realizes this and quickly comes to the rescue. "Hey. Do you want to go to my dorm? I believe my roommate is out today visiting his parents."
"Yeah, that sounds great," I say with a smile
