Bumping into the bad boy

Unexpected save

Weeks pass by and Ashton has avoided me completely.

Me and Zack speak on a daily basis and I have finally plucked up the courage to tell him I only like him as a friend and I appreciate everything he does.It took a bit of convincing but he finally understood and we're on a good level now.

Mum and Steven have some back from holiday and are all lovey dovey around each other,which creeps the hell out of me.

I arrive home from work,mums making diner.I dump my stuff down on the floor and watch television.

"Hey sweetie you okay?" Mum asks

"Fine mum yeah,you okay?" I question

"Yeah good thanks" She replies

Erm babe Diane was a bit concerned about you and Ashton,is everything alright between you two?" She says

"Well we broke up two weeks ago if that's what your asking" I mention

"Oh baby I'm so sorry" She comments and takes a seat on the sofa next to me and hugs me.

"I'm okay mum,I'm over it now honestly" I assure her

"What happened darling?" She asks pulling out of the hug to face me

"He dated me for a bet,the end" I huff

"Oh sweetie you can do so much better than him,what about that guy at working Erm Erm,zander,Erm zed ...." She stumbles

"Mum it's Zack" I correct her

"Yeah that guy, what about him?" She says

"I like him as a friend mum,nothing more" I explain

"Okay sweetie,well someone will come along when you least expect it" She tells me

"Babe,I gotta get on with doing the diner so I'll talk to you later" She mentions

She kissed me on the head "Don't give up sweetheart" She smiles and walks out of the living room and heads into the kitchen.

I decide to get my homework done ready for Mondays lesson.

"Mila" My mum calls from the kitchen.

I huff,shove my laptop on the sofa next to me and head into the kitchen

"Yes mum" I reply

"Can you be a dear and grab me some milk,eggs and butter from the shops please" She asks

"Sure" I reply slipping my trainers and hoodie on.

Great it's 6pm and it's already dark and she wants me to take a trip to the shops.

It's a short walk to the shops,but I have a bad feeling about this.I shake off that feeling and focus on getting what my mum requested.

I speed walk down the road,holding my phone in the pocket of the jacket.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a worried person when it comes to walking down my road.Don't get me wrong,we don't live in a bad area,it's just at night there are all sorts of characters that lurk around.

A hooded man crosses the street onto my side of the road,I decide to pull my hood up myself and walk even fast down the road.

I arrive at our local shops earlier than expected and it doesn't take me long to purchase the few items mum requested.

I head out of the shop and quickly check the receipt and that I got the right amount of change.

I begin to swiftly walk down the road when I hear a group of rowdy men behind me,clearly drunk.They are talking loudly and stumbling on a few of there words.
