"Mommy, I can't find my dolly."

"Did you look under your bed?"

"No Mommy, I'm scared to look under there."

"Sweetie, there's nothing to be afraid of....Yet."

There is one day every year

When the full moon shines bright

You stay in bed, covers pulled

Never look under your bed that night

That's the night when the evil comes

Through their magic door in the floor

Looking for little boys and girls

To take with them, forever more

Ugly trolls, who live under our house

Deep in the ground, where fires burn hot

They take you through the magic door

And you will disappear, forever lost

They will drag you, kicking and screaming

Down, down, into their domain

In heavy chains, they will lock you up

And there forever, you will remain

You will not know if it's day or night

As they work you until you drop

Every day you get just one glass of water

And a mashed worms, road kill slop

You will spend all your time shovelling

Until you simply can't do anymore

Toxic waste, rotten garbage, human sludge

To make the troll's fires roar

You will never see the sun again

Nor the moon and stars at dark

Never play again with your friends

Never hear your pet dog bark

Your Mom and Dad, brother, sister too

Will become distant memories

Condemned to rot in this horrid place

Until death sets you free

"Sleep tight honey. Mommy hopes she will see you in the morning."
