T: Foodie

He felt his stomach rumble,

His hunger would not wait.

He went to search his pantry,

For some food to fill his plate.

Alas, his stores were empty,

There's nothing left but dust.

He grabbed his phone accordingly,

And read a foodie's musts.

When he was done with searching,

He went to grab his bike.

He could reach the shop by walking,

But he'd rather bike at night.

He zipped through city alleys,

He finally reached the shop.

To his dismay, a minute too late,

The "Closed" sign was hung up.

He was really, really hungry,

So he looked for other stores.

He found a shop that had stood out,

With bright- lit neon doors.

The moment he had stepped inside,

The odor made him weep.

Delicious food sat side by side,

Along with cakes so sweet.

He quickly ordered this and that,

And a slice or two of cake.

He ate it, twenty minutes flat,

There's not one cleaner plate.

He stood to pay, and drop some praise,

To he who cooked his meal.

So the bus boy brought him face to face.

To he who cooked with zeal.

"Hello, Sir Chef!" He gladly said.

"A good word for your food!

It's been a while since I have had,

A meal that's quite as good!"

"Oh dear, young sir, I'm just a cook"

The man said in reply.

"I've only learned my craft by books,

But I do my best to try."

They had a great time talking,

For the busy hour has passed.

He offered help on closing,

For the cook did go out last.

While the cook was busy cleaning,

He began to make his move.

The first thing was to bolt the doors,

and the windows all secured.

The next step though was tricky,

It was where things could go wrong.

But he's done this thing so frequently,

He's a foodie for so long.

So he crept up on the good cook,

And with a clean strike, cook's cold, dead.

With a cleaving blade and a butcher's knife,

In an hour, the cook's filleted.

He then took out some take out packs,

With labels, clear and neat.

For a good two weeks, his pantry's stocked,

There's no running out for meat.
