"Do you know what it was like thinking you we're dead?"

Toby-
Last night I left Spencer at home knowing she would be safe there I don't know what I was really feeling right now. I'm just so scared something is going to take her away from me again. It's not exactly something you always want to be worried about-your loved one's ripped away from you. I lay down on the bed running my hands down my face sighing heavily before I hear my phone vibrate. I slowly reach out retrieving my phone taking it into my hand when I see Spencer's name. I answer the call "Hello"
"Toby" I hear her voice break slightly
"Hey are you okay?"
"Can you come home? I know you said you needed time but I really need you right now"
"I'll be home soon" I say ending the call grabbing my car keys heading out.

I finally arrive home walking into the house expecting to see Spencer "You're back" I turn around to see her leaning against the kitchen bench slightly looking at me
"I told you last night I just needed some time" She nods crossing her arms over her chest "But what happens then? I'm home fianlly after being held hostage for 3 Weeks and then you leave again?" She snaps her eyes shimmering with anger "How could you leave like that? I mean honestly I was so scared what the hell we're you thinking?" I drop my keys onto the bench sitting on the sofa looking at her "Do you have any idea what I went through when you were gone? Do you know what it was like thinking you were dead?" My heart clenches at the thought she steps forward "Yes I do, Do you not remember when I was pulled out of the room right after Brandon shot you in front of me?" She fires back tears building up "Okay I was just as scared as you were!" She shouts at me "Say something anything I don't care just say something!" She shouts I stand up throwing my hand's in the air "It's my fault don't you get that? It's my fault you we're held hostage for 3 weeks!" I shout at her and I know she didn't expect me to say that "That's a load of shit it's no one else's fault besides Brandon's and he's dead" Spencer says sitting down on the sofa pulling me down with her "It's my job to keep you safe, Keep you happy and I can't do it" She takes my face into her hands brushing away my tears with her thumb that runs against my cheek bone. "I don't ever want you to say that again you do protect me better than anyone ever has before. I love you so much do you hear me?" She cries resting her forehead against mine "Do you understand that I love you? Please Toby please don't let me go" I wrap my arms around her waist "I won't let you go" I whisper in her ear kissing her cheek "I won't let
You go" I repeat over and over again until it's the only thing on her mind.

<2 Weeks Later>
Spencer-

Hurrying down stairs I see Emily, Aria, Hanna and Alison all sitting at the kitchen bench smiling at me. They came down last week wanting to see me after they heard about what happened with Brandon. Although they knew at the time that I was missing and did everything to possibly help even with being so far away. "Morning girls" I say standing over besides Aria where my coffee is "Thanks" I say referring to the coffee she'd made me "Toby already left for work he said to say he loves you" I smile taking a sip of my coffee "He's really worried about you know that? He thinks that he's not enough to keep you safe anymore. He already told us about the conversation" I nod resting my coffee on the table "Look when I was stuck with Brandon I didn't know if I was ever going to get out of the place. All I could think about was everything that I wanted to do and yet everything that I wish I could re do" Aria reaches out rubbing my hand "What happened in that place?" I sigh tears threatening to fall down my cheeks "I just gave up" I whisper in a soft voice.

All you can hear is the sound of the cars outside before there is a knock on my front door. "I'll get it" I say walking over to my door turning the door knob only to see a woman stand there "Hello are you Spencer Hastings?" She asks in a rather angry tone "Yes" I answer simply "Can I help you?" I ask looking at the girls to see their looking at her as well before looking back. "I re call you we're held hostage by Brandon Conrad for 3 weeks?" I nod what the hell is with all these questions? She scoffs "And he's dead now isn't he?" I nod "Yes he tried to kill me and was stopped it was self defence" She crosses her arms over her chest "It was your boyfriend who killed Brandon wasn't it?" I nod starting to get irritated the girls join me at the door "Listen that's enough with the questions leave the property" Alison says with a hard glare "I have a message for you're boyfriend you can tell him that I'll make sure he pays" My eyes widen at he words "Why? What was Brandon to you?" I ask numbly "He's the father to my son" She says surprising me "I'm back here to avenge him so like I said tell your boyfriend to watch his back" Aria scoffs "Leave the property now!" She snaps the lady quickly leaves getting back into her car leaving my house. I close the door behind me tears falling down my cheeks as I begin to breath heavily my heart pounding. "What do you want me to do?" Emily asks holding her phone in her hand "Call T-Toby" I whisper stuttering slightly "Okay I'll call him now" she says leaving the room to call Toby. Hanna walks toward's me with Aria and Alison "It's okay Spencer it's going to be okay" I shake my head wiping away my tears "It's not going to be okay it's not going to be okay. She's threatened to take away the person I can't live without it's not going to be okay" Aria grabs my chin forcing me to look at her "She's not going to take him away Spencer" She wraps her arms around me as I cry

I want this all to be over.
