It had only just occurred to me that everybody else was rushing past me to enter their cells. When the examiner had explained everything to me, I had barely listened as I was still in shock. Now I had absolutely no idea what to do.

Luckily, that same prison guard was lurking around so I hurriedly ran up to him.

"Crowley!" I shouted.

He turned around and acknowledged me, contemplating whether to ignore my existence or not.

"What do you want?" Crowley asked, appearing to be irritated.

"Everybody's going into their cells, right?" I asked.

"Well done", he slowly clapped with sarcasm, "Cookie for you".

"It's just...I don't exactly know where mine is", I ignored his remark.

"Didn't you listen to the examiner?" Crowley sighed.

"I guess not", I admitted guiltily.

Crowley muttered some colourful words under his breath and grabbed my name plate on my jumpsuit, turning it over and glancing at the back.

"Cell 772456", Crowley informed me, "Just look at your damn name plate next time, genius".

"Right...uh, thank you", I said sheepishly, feeling like an idiot.

It took me a considerable amount of time to find it but, eventually, I came across my cell. I was expecting it to be with others but mine was a private. Thank God.

That first night was the worst. I barely got any sleep. The rock-hard bed gave me back pains and all the other prisoners kept yelling out from their cells, trying to scare the new arrivals. But the most daunting part was what was going on inside my own head. It was the sudden realisation that I was stuck here and there probably wasn't even a small chance that I was going to get out anytime soon. For most of that night, I silently cried into my pillow until I finally fell asleep.

Making me jump awake, the screeching sound of an alarm bell interrupted my nightmares. I heard my cell door open and automatically knew that I had to get up quickly.

The morning was awful. The line for the bathroom took twenty minutes and, inside, the showers were shared which required being visibly naked in front of many perved people. That was definitely the quickest, most rushed shower of my life and I had a feeling it would be like that every day from now on.

Everybody headed towards the canteen again for breakfast so I followed behind, still feeling lost in this huge building. Thankfully, this morning's servings didn't appear as bad as yesterday's. There was a range of choices, from cereal to ordinary fruit. I simply chose an apple because too much food in the morning always made me feel nauseous.

I sat by myself again. However, this time I luckily had the whole table to myself so there was no one there to glare at me. Realising I spoke to soon, I noticed none other than Lucifer sitting a few tables away from me and shooting vicious daggers towards my direction. I looked away immediately, wanting to avoid any violence today.

Whilst I was trying to look anywhere else but at Lucifer, my eyes drifted towards another table where a few people were seated together and laughing. Dean, the man who saved me yesterday, was on that table. He was talking to someone opposite him, occasionally pausing and letting his tongue rest in between his teeth whenever he smiled. I found myself unable to look away for a few seconds. It was until Dean caught my eye that I quickly looked away and nibbled shyly on my apple.

Making me jump, a person blocked my vision as he sat down opposite me.

"Hey, Novak".

It was Gabriel. I was still unsure whether I could trust him or not, considering what his brother did to me, but he seemed quite friendly so far.
