I didn't go to the canteen that night. Not only did Dean clearly not want me around, but I also didn't want to run into Walker. Not to mention my neck was still in agony so I stayed in bed and skipped dinner.

"The come down's rough, huh?"

Instantly straightening myself up, I tried to give Dean a weak smile.

"There is no come down", I replied truthfully, "because I never took anything".

"Alright", Dean laughed, not believing, me before he crawled up onto the top bunk, perching himself next to me, "Well your best friend Lucifer should be back tomorrow so hopefully that'll give you something to look happy about for once".

Feeling hurt, I turned my head to Dean. He was being so mocking and cruel. He looked me in the eyes and his face softened at the sight of me.

"Sorry, Cas", Dean apologised with a sigh, "I just hate to see you do this to yourself. I thought I could make you happy enough not to...not to go back to old habits and I guess I'm just taking that pretty hard".

With every word he said, I could feel my anger rising. I didn't know whether I was angry at Dean or at Walker or myself.

"I'm going for walk", I sprung up off the bed and headed for the door.

Mirroring my actions, Dean followed me.

"To our spot?" Dean asked, his voice perking up momentarily.

Arubtly, I turned around to face him and harshly glared.

"Alone", I snapped, and left him standing there.

With no intention of actually going anywhere, I found my legs heading towards the laundry room in search for Gabriel. As I expected, he was in here folding laundry. He loved to work as much as he could to get the little money they give us here.

Feeling more paranoid than ever, I had been making habits of checking my pockets inconspicuously just to check if Walker had left me a little present. I sighed with relief when I found the pocket was empty.

Gabriel turned his head when I opened the door and a small smile made a way onto his face.

"So", I jumped onto one of the drying machines, my legs dangling off the end, "Lucifer's back tomorrow".

I had felt guilty that, with all my drama, I hadn't had the chance to talk to Gabriel about how he was feeling properly. Besides, it was refreshing to distract myself from what was going on in my life currently.

"Yep", Gabriel replied emotionlessly, "I can hardly contain myself".

"How are you really feeling about it?" I asked curiously.

Gabriel sighed, his eyes directed downwards as he folded laundry.

"Novak", he begun, "I appreciate you trying to help. I really do. But I can't even figure out how I feel about anything right now, let alone try to talk about it".

Understandingly, I decided not to press any further.

"How are you and Winchester?" Gabriel changed the subject, "You both didn't seem on great terms this morning. That Walker guy is an ass".

"I'm glad you see it too, Gabriel", I muttered, "At least someone does. Dean and I are fine. There's just some stuff we haven't unravelled about each other yet. Past issues, you know?"

"Oh really", Gabriel raised an eyebrow unconvinced, "So you're telling me it had nothing to do with Walker and Winchester getting close with each other?"

"They weren't getting close, Walker is just trying to mess with me", I snapped quickly without thinking, and Gabriel laughed satisfactorily.

"What's up with you and Walker?" he inquired, "I could tell you detested the guy as soon as you walked into the canteen this morning".
