With horror, I watched my older brother stab that innocent man in the neck. He staggered backwards, baffled for a moment, before losing his balance and collapsing onto the floor.
"Come on, Castiel", Balthazar urged, tugging at my clothing and trying to get me to move, "Hurry up! They're coming!"
Ignoring him, I shakily approached the dying man and knelt down beside him. He spluttered out heaps of blood, choking and crying, calling out for help. I lifted the back of his head upwards, my eyes tearing up whilst I watched him struggle for his last breaths.
"Castiel, what the hell are you doing?!" Balthazar screamed at me, "The police sirens are getting louder! Fucking stand up!"
I couldn't move. The man who only had a few more breaths left in him gazed up at me, still in shock. My hands shaking, I held his fragile face in my grip and shushed him gently, telling him he was going to be okay. But he and I both knew that he wasn't.
"Cast-" Balthazar stopped himself hopelessly, staring wide eyed at the advancing flashing red and blue lights.
Balthazar stared at me for a while, his eyes wet with tears. Realising that I had no intentions on leaving, he stumbled back and gave me one last apologetic look before running as fast as he could out of the store.
I was in disbelief that my brother would just abandon me like that. All of a sudden, the man I was holding and comforting had stopped squirming and became completely still.
Before I could even think about his death, the front doors slammed open by heavy weapons being shoved against them, window glass shattering all over the floor.
"Hands in the air!" an officer yelled at me, aiming his large gun towards me.
Shivering with fear, I let go of the dead man and stood up, looking the police officer in the eyes with a tiny shred of hope that I could explain, that he might understand. Suddenly, I felt myself being thrown against the wall and a metal pair of handcuffs being harshly shoved onto my wrists.
"You have the right to remain-"

"Mornin', precious".
I jumped awake, gasping and clenching the duvet covers in my fists.
"Bad dream?" Lucifer asked, standing at the edge of the room and watching me curiously.
"Not exactly", I quivered, hugging a pillow close to my chest, "Dreams aren't supposed to be real".
"Whatever the hell that means", Lucifer muttered, looking tired.
I groaned and forced myself to get up, swinging my legs over the side of the bed. Climbing down the ladder, my feet barely even touched the floor before I was grabbed and slammed against the wall. I sighed, honestly not feeling up to even putting up a fight.
"Of course", I smiled flatly, "If not last night then this morning. Just make it quick".
"No, no, no!" Lucifer moaned, letting go of me and throwing his arms up in the air childishly, "Plead for your life, beg for mercy, even cry if you have to! Why are you being boring?"
"What?" I asked with disbelief, "You're beating the crap out of me for entertainment?"
"Why else?" Lucifer replied as if it was obvious.
My fists clenched and I glared at him.
"Fuck you", I spat, "You've been making my life a living hell in here and for what? Fun. I actually thought you were a threat but now it's all so clear. You're just a plain asshole".
