Part Two: Chapter Twenty Two- Better

Javier's POV

I smile as Summer and I walk into the doctor's office. We're having her first scan today, and I'm so excited. It's going to be awesome. I can't wait to see our little baby. I'm so excited. I want to tell June, but I'm worried about her reaction. I'm sure that she'll be supportive--that isn't my concern. My concern is that it's going to be hard for her since she lost a baby earlier this year. She still cries about it sometimes. I don't want to rub it in her face that we're having a baby when she lost her baby and isn't in a great place in her marriage right now.

"This is so cool!" I say excitedly squeezing Summer's hand.

"Yup! I'll check in if you wanna go sit down," she smiles.

"Okay," I nod kissing her cheek.

She smiles and walks up to the counter. I sit down and wait for her. She walks over to me and sits down in the chair next to me. I take her hand and smile widely. She kisses my cheek and rests her head on my shoulder. I rub her hand and smile widely at her.

"I love you."

"I love you too," I smile.

"Summer Roberto?"

Summer and I walk hand in hand to where the nurse is. She gets weighed and has her vitals taken before we're lead into the exam room. She gets situated on the small bed, and I stay standing next to her. I take her hand as we wait for her doctor. I smile and hug her. It's only a few seconds before there's a knock on the door.

"Hello," Dr. Matex walks in.

"Hola," I smile. Coleen reccommended Dr. Matex who was her doctor for both of her pregnancies.

"Hi," Summer smiles.

"It's nice to meet you."

Summer and Dr. Matex discuss her symptoms and her morning sickness. I just sit there quietly. I don't have much to add in. I squeeze her hand as we get ready for the ultrasound. I can't wait to see our baby.

"There is baby Hernández Roberto," Dr. Matex points at the screen.

"Oh wow," I grin kissing her cheek.

"That's our baby," Summer grins widely.

"Would you like to hear the heart beat?"

"Yes," we nod after looking at each other.

Dr. Matex turns on the sound, and a soft but steady beat fills the room. I grin widely listening. Summer takes my other hand in hers. I smile widely. This is the coolest thing ever. I literally cannot wait to be a father to our baby. It's going to be awesome.

"I love you," I kiss Summer's forehead.

"I love you too," she smiles up at me.

June's POV

I wake up and am surprised to see the Manchster Airport baggage claim. Last I knew, I was on the plane to Manchester. I smile when I realise Luke is carrying me through the airport. I kiss his cheek to let him know I'm awake.

"Hello!"

"Hey, baby doll. Good nap?"

"Yeah for sure!" I rest my head on his shoulder as he goes to set me down, "Noooooo. Carry me!" I whine.

"Just for you, okay, " he sets me down and then moves in front of me. He bends over, and I jump on his back. I wrap my legs around his waist and sling my arms around his neck. I rest my head on his shoulder again.

"Comfy?" Adnan jokes.

"Very," I grin.

"Good," he laughs.
