A/N:

Thank you all for the 1K reads! Special update!

I know that the Mexico- Costa Rica Game actually happened in New Zealand, but let's pretend it happened in Mexico.

Also, I realize the timing with pretty much everything is off, so please bear with me. This is a fanfic loosely based off of real events.

Shout out to @gabbyztorres and @NeymarFCB10 for inspiring this update and for making my day. It was a rough one guys. @gabbyztorres left the nicest comment and @NeymarFCB10, one of my favourite authors, made me so excited, by telling me that she loved my story! Thank you both! 😊

I have posted a picture of June in chapter 1; Summer Roberto's picture is in chapter 2, Ciara Hernandez in chapter 3; June, Ana, and Javier's dad in chapter 5; Ana Hernandez is in chapter 6; Bruna Marquezine is in chapter 7; Lety Sahagun, Javier's ex-girlfriend's picture is in chapter 8; and Cole Knight's picture is featered in this chapter.

Neymar's POV

It's been six days since I've arrived in Mexico. It's been quite interesting. Javier and June have been avoiding each other.

June has a fractured jaw from the first night I arrived in Mexico. I know Javier feels horrible and is trying to make it up to her. Cole has tried to come see June, but Javier hasn't allowed it. Cole wants to see her again before she leaves with me for Brasil tomorrow, but there's no way in hell that's happening.

June tries to stay away from the house as much as she can by showing me around. It's interesting because June has a hard time talking, so Ana and Lety tag along. They get along so well and I like being with them. Summer stays with Javier and they go sight seeing at different places from us or they hang out at the Hernández house.

I walk into June's room and she's changing into a Mexico jersey. She has on denim shorts and heels. I walk over and give her a backwards hug. She giggles as I kiss her cheek lightly.

"Ready for today?" I ask.

"Eh. It'll be nice to see everyone again."

"I'm sure. Is Javier playing today against Costa Rica?"

"I don't think so. We might be able to sneak out and go to grab something to eat or something," June gives a half smile.

"That sounds good," I lean down and kiss her lightly, not wanting to jar her jaw.

June presses her lips against mine and reaches up to tangle my mohawk in her fingers. I keep a soft hand on the left side of her face and wrap an arm around her lower back. I pull her body flush against mine. Her breath hitches as I kiss down her jaw to her neck. I kiss right where her jaw meets her neck. I let my tongue skim her skin and she melts into me. I hold her tighter against me, thinking she might fall to my feet if I don't.

"So Javier isn-" Ciara's voice says, "Oh."

June slowly turns around to look at her mom and her cheeks turn a bright red. I look down at the ground and hold June against my chest. Her mom stares hardly at us before laughing.

"Sorry to interrupt. Javier isn't playing and neither is Gio."

"Why aren't they?" June mumbles, the best she can muster with her fractured jaw.

"Coach wants players based here in Mexico. Not ones playing in Europe."

"That's not fair," I mutter.

"No. You don't have to go if you don't want to. Javier obviously still has to be there, and we're going too," Ciara offers.

"We'll come for a little while," June looks up at me and I nod.
