Chapter 6

Jen's POV

We're in the car on the way to the hospital. It was already 12:36, but we were pulling up. I couldn't wait to bring Alex home. I was so glad that she was getting better. Pat started a conversation up, "I know what'll cheer her up." He says with a half smile. I shift and look at him. "What?" I ask curiously. "Maybe next week when she's fully recovered we can take her to Sea World or Six Flags." He states, I nod. "That's actually a pretty good idea." I say. We pulled up to the hospital, he turned off the ignition and stuck the keys in his pocket. I look through the glass doors to see Doctor Sandchez signing papers with the lady at the front desk. I assume he's working out Alex leaving. I heaved out a breath of relief, this terrible nightmare is almost over. We calmly walk in there I pull my sunglasses over my head and approach Doctor Sandchez. "Hello Doctor Sandchez." Pat says. He turns up and smiles. "You can go see her, same room. I'm organizing her absence." I nod. We walk down the hallway to her room.

Alexandra's POV

Mommy sits on my bed, she examines my swelled up tummy. "Looking better." Daddy says, mommy nods. The doctor walks in. "Hi, Alexandra. How you feeling?" He asks, I reply, "A lot better." He nods. "That's all I need to hear. " he looks at Mommy and Daddy. "All you have to do now is sign these papers and y'all can be out of here as soon as possible." He states simply. Mommy takes a pen and scribbles down her initials. Daddy does the same thing. "Alright! Whenever y'all are ready you can be on your way." He says. I perk up, he walks over and turns of the oxygen tank, then takes the nobs out of my nose.
"Ok, Alex. Lezzgoo!" Daddy says. He says, mommy picks me up and sits my on her hip and I wrap my legs around her. She's still being careful with me, but you can barely tell my tummy was ever swelled, there's just a little redness and a little bit of swelling. That's it. Mommy ran out to the car. "I. Want TO. Go HOME." She sing- songs playfully. I giggle. She sits me in the back seat, buckling me in, she plops herself in the front seat. I song a song the whole way home.

"CAN'T STOP THE FEELING!" Mommy and Daddy tell at the same time. We all burst out laughing. We pull up to the house, the one I love. I run inside with a front walk over. My Daddy chuckles and Mommy yells, "FINALLY WE'RE HOME!" I laugh. She runs toward me and tickles my stomach. I laugh and giggle until daddy runs in and grabs my legs, he throws me over his shoulder. "I'LL SAVE YOU!" He yells. I laugh, Mommy starts chasing Daddy, I laugh so hard. "I'm gonna get ya!" She screams playfully. Daddy throws me on the couch, they both start tickling my side. I laugh so hard. "Stop! That tickles! Ah!" I giggle. They both plop next to me, Daddy picks up cloud. "The beast as arrived." He says, stroking his lion hair cut. We all lean toward Daddy and pet Cloud, after a while Mommy breaks the silence. "Let's go see a movie!" She says, kicking her legs onto Daddy he shoots her a playful glare. "What do you wanna see, Alex?" Daddy asks me. "What about Mrs.Perigrine's Home For Peculiar Children?" I say, Jen raises her eyebrows. "That's rated PG13 Alex, there's monster in it and stuff." She says. I nod. "I've read the book! I loved it." I say. Pat shrugs. "Well if you'd read the book then you'd know what's in it. So I don't see why not." Daddy says, mommy thinks, then she nods. I cheer, "Yay! Thanks so much!" Daddy stands up. "Ok let's go." Daddy says, he throws me over his shoulder. "Ah!" I squel. "Daddy!" I giggle. Mommy yells after us, "You know the movie doesn't start in an hour." Mommy chuckles. Daddy goes blank. "Oh, ya I knew that." He says. I laugh. "Can you put me down." I giggle. "Whatever the queen wants." He says. He lets me go and I scream, he grabs me right before I hit the ground, then sits me down easily. I laugh really hard. "That's so Kawaii!" I yell. Mommy laughs. "Like mother like daughter." Daddy retorts. Mommy laughs harder. Gosh dang I love my family.

Time Skip, on the way to the movies.

"So in the book Mrs. Perigrine can turn into a bird, my favorite character is Olive, her peculiarity is air. She wears heavy boots to keep her in the ground." I talk about the book all the way to the movies. "You sure know a lot about that book!" Mommy says, I laugh. "I read the first two books but I can't find the third one." I say. I really wanted to read 'Library of Souls'
Comment if I got that wrong, I'm only halfway through the first book, continue. "Well maybe we can find it after the movie." Daddy says, I get my hopes up. We finally arrive at the movie. I get my own small popcorn, and I get a thing of sweet tarts, at the of the movie when the Hollow Ghasts come, Mommy keeps her hand over my eyes. As soon as the Hollow Ghast pops up and James start fighting it she clamps her hand over my blue eyes.

Time Skip

The whole way home I started ranting about how the book and movie are two different things. "Well Mrs.Perigrine turned into a bird, Olive floats, scary hollow Ghasts, doesn't sound that different. "But Olive had fire! And....." I started ranting about other stuff. Haven't seen the movie yet, but my friend rants about it a whole bunch. I'm going to see the movie with my friend on Monday though!

Time Skippiness

We all crack up at dinner, we were eating Eggs, Mommy said it was 'Breakfast for dinner'. "Did you like the movie?" Daddy asks. "It was a disgrace to the book, but not concerning the book it was actually pretty good. " I say through a mouth full off eggs. They both nod. "Well, it's getting late, we should probably get to bed." Mommy says.
