Alex's POV

I skipped down the stairs, hopping on one foot and pulling my shoe over my heel. "Sleep in did we?" My Daddy retorts as he sets a couple of plates of eggs and sausage. I sit down next to Jen, "Well the beds here are A LOT softer than the ones at the hospital. Seriously they have to be made of bricks or something!" I say. Mommy and Daddy laugh, we say a blessing and begin to eat. "So I was thinking we could go to Sea World on Wednesday when we're done giving you your medicine." I bounce up at Mommy's words. "Really? Yay! How long?" I cheer. Mommy answers with a simple "4 days maybe." I lunch the air. "YAAAAAY!" I finish my breakfast quickly.
Time Skip, because nobody wants to know about the digestion process. I'm sure I don't. Lol😜
Alex's POV

I sit on the couch cuddling with Cloud, he snuggles up close to me, that's when I thought of something. I nudge Cloud of my lap gently. I hear my mom on the phone, Daddy's in the weight room lifting. I sneak into the recording area, Mommy's vlog camera sits there, I let out a sneaky giggle. I picked the camera up and read the instruction manual. I started it up. "Hey guys! I'm on my mommy's camera! Daddy is lifting weights and I wanted you guys to see him there for like the first time! Well, he doesn't know Im recording, and let's see what he really does in there!" I whisper. My mommy walks in the room, she didnt expect to see me so she pauses. Busted. "What are you doing?" She says, raising one eyebrow. "Showing the people what daddy does in the weight room!" The camera was still on. "Does he know?" She asks, I shake my head. "Ok carry on." She says. I giggle, she continues to talk on the phone. I creep through the hallways and find the room. I jerk it open. "Ahh!" My Daddy yells. He drops the bar he was lifting on the ground. I laugh. He does to, "What are you doing dork?" He says, a laugh in his throat. "Showing ze people what you do in here." I say cutely. He pushes the bar to the side, then looks at me. "I'm gonna get you DORK!" He yells playfully, he chased after me and I squel, trying to hold the camera as still as possible. He catches up and grabbs my legs from under me, throwing me over his shoulder, the camera almost drops outta my hands, but I manage. My mommy watches us storm through the living room, we both land on the couch. She plops herself next to us and steals the camera. "Hey guys hope ya enjoyed whatever they just did." My dad adds. "Yup. And don't forget to subscribe to Jen's channel in the link below! See ga later doods!" Then I say. "Bye people of the internet!" They both laugh and end the video.
Daddy edited the video and actually posted it! I'm so happy! He continued to do his workouts as me and Mommy watch Frozen.

Time Skip

My dad walks into the living room as the song 'Let It Go!' Comes on in the credits in the movie. "Aww I missed it!" He moans sillily. "Welp, that's how life works." My mommy says, stretching her arms out and laying a kiss on my forehead. "We should-" he was interuppted by a bang on the front door, followed by a thud and the front door springing open. Mommy throws her arm across my arm and pulls me to the ground, she gets as flat as she can and holds her palm to my back. Daddy dives beneath the kitchen bar where we usually eat, mommy places her finger to her lips. Signaling I should be quiet. "I don't think Alex is here." I hear a girl say. "Well this is the adoption home." A boy says. "Clearly they're out somewhere idiot!" The girl snaps. I turn to Mommy, she's got her phone out, she dials 911 and and hits the call button. "Hello? This Jen Brown on 31 Mobey Trail, two people have broken in and are trying to find my daughter. A man and a woman. Yes. Thanks. Bye." She whispers as softly as she could muster. "Go upstairs and check! I'm sure if someone broke into my house I wouldn't be running down to them! Go find Alex!" I hear footsteps pound up the stairs, then a sigh. I hear sirens coming down the street. "Crap!" The woman screams. I peek around the corner. The lady's bloodshot eyes immediately locked with mine. "There she is!" She screams, her eye twitches. She reminds me of someone. The police rush through the door and grab her by her waist, her arms flail everywhere as she tries to get to me. "No! Give her to Me! Give the worthless brat to me!" That's when I know who she is. The girl who haunts my dreams. The girl who beats me with s belt in my nightmares. The girl. I scoot back rapidly, running strait into Mommy's lap. "M- mo- momm- y." I say. She strokes my hair and shushes me. "Tha- that's the g- girl from my n- nightmare- s!" I stutter. I hear the girl's bellows and her moans. The man walks down, confused. They quickly gather him up and take him away to the cop car, still the girl battles, she is nutso! Crazy. My mommy conforts me and my daddy is struggling to make his way around the girl. I peek back around the couch, the lady immediately goes insane, she's out to get me. They eventually force their way into the cop car. On the way to jail. My mom sits me on her lap on the couch. I lay down, I want to forget, but I can't, I just slowly drift into the abyss.
