When we finished our Monopoly Marathon, Evangeline came in and told us to set the table because the food would soon be there.

We all chatted while setting out paper plates and silverware. Evangeline set out 2 liter soda bottles on the counter and told us we could get what we liked. She put red plastic cups next to the bottles and put a roll of paper towels on the opposite side.

"Okay girls," She says after we are done setting the table. "get your drinks and put them at the place you want to sit then sit down, I'll bring the food." As if on que the doorbell rings and Evangeline claps her hands excitably. "Finally!" She exclaims. We all walk over to the counter to make our drinks.

"Hey Alex." Alan says. "Yes Alan?" I reply sweetly. Alan has a short hairstyle like a boy's, she also has a sweater that says 'I'm sorry what I said when it was Monday'. She wears Jean shorts and pink sneakers. "We should make a combination of drinks!" Alan says. "We shouldn't waste soda." Dixie adds.

Alan shrugs and says "Oh all right."

I almost laugh at that and get me a cup of Dr.Pepper. We all sat down, I sat in between Jalen and Alan. Evangeline came in with the pizza box and Chinese take out, she placed the pizza box in the center and gave me he take out. "Chow down." She says.

They all start to bring out the pizza and put it on their paper plates. Before they eat, I say "Do ya'll want to say a prayer?" I offer quietly. "Yeah!" Dixie pipes. We join hands and Jalen prays "Dear lord. You are great, because God is good. Please bless us with your mercy. Amen." Jalen says. The we eat.

Mommy taught me how to eat with chop sticks, so I break open the chop sticks and eat the hibachi steak.

"Hey, so Alex, how come you can't eat the pizza?" Dixie asks, talking through mouthfuls.  "I have CCD." I say, also talking in a mouthful. "What's that?" Alan adds. "It's Chronic Celiac Disease, something like that. That means I can't eat gluten." I say.

"There's gluten in pizza?" Dixie asks. I nod.

"I don't see why you would need the tube things though." Alan says. "Well I had many close calls that messed up my breathing so I have to wear this for a little while to clear up my breathing." I say.

"Oh." Dixie says.

We finish eating and go to Jalen's room, she got out a karaoke machine. She had a bunk bed (which I didn't understand because her sibling slept in a cradle and had her own room)

"Who wants to go first?" Jalen asks. "Me!" Dixie says. She hops off the top bunk, (where I was as well)  and picks up the microphone. We had to turn it down so we wouldn't wake the baby so it didn't to much but show off.

Dixie pressed something on the IPod, then began to sing I Write Sins Not Tragedies by Panic at the Disco.

Oh well Imagine as I'm pacing the pews of a church corridor and I can't help but to hear, no I can't help but hear an exchanging of words.

What a beautiful wedding....

And so on.

Alan goes next, she picks the IPod and presses something.  A huge g note plays. "When I was a young boy my father took me into the city! To see a marching Band!"

She began to sing, you guessed it, Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. (I know what you're thinking, these kids have great taste in music! :p)  Jalen goes next and sings Attention by Charlie Puth.

"Your turn Alex!" Jalen says, I smile and shake my head. "No thanks! You can go ahead and go again Dixie." I say. "But we wanna hear you." Jalen says. "Trust me! I doing you all a favor. My singing is an ear sore!" I say.

"Okay! Dixie can go next!" Jalen says. We have fun and play games like Monopoly, Truth or Dare, we even watched a movie. We watched the Little Rascals, but then we agreed to watch Finding Dory but Alan and Jalen fell asleep watching it.

I fell asleep last because I didn't want to have them staring awkwardly at me while I hooked myself up to the BiPAP. I fell asleep quickly after.

-Jalen's POV-

After a while of waiting for Alex to get done with her BiPAP and getting to sleep, I gently eased out of my stance, sneaking out of my room and into the kitchen. My mom was smiling and looking down at the baby, her eyes never leaving her. "When is the sister getting here Mom?" I ask.

She scowls as if she didn't want me to get her to look away from her. "Not soon enough." She says. "Will it be tonight?" I ask, biting my lip. She looks at me hard, and I feel a piece of me crack under her stare.

"Not tonight, but soon." She says. "I see." I say, kicking my foot on the ground, not wanting to lose another friend to my mother's games, but what was I to do? In the end the sharper knife wins. And right now it's a stick against a sword.

And I have been dealt the stick.

Thanks for all of your input in my previous chapter! After this I will release a Q/A, if you would kindly go read that because I go over some important things.
