Friday.

Today was the day. The day in which we started our final exams.

For some people, it wasn't a big deal.

For others, such as Simon, it was their worst nightmare.

I was in between. There was some subjects I'd surely ace, such as Maths and English. Others, however, such as science; well, that's another story.

All our year was called to an assembly that morning, mainly regarding the upcoming exams.

Starting next week, we would be sat in the exam hall every day for about four hours (depending on what subjects you took).

We had to sit in our houses, as usual. So, this ultimately meant that I got to sit next to Tobi.

Our house was named Augustus, as all the houses carried the names of four very famous romans; as our head teacher had some sort of weird obsession.

The other four were; Caesar, Hadrian and (God forbid) Claudius.

Vik and Simon were both in Hadrian.

The rest of the lads (Harry, Ethan and Jide) were in Caesar.

In the hall, our block was sat behind the Hadrians.

I could see the back of Simon's head, so I chucked over a bit of rubber and it hit the back of his neck.

He turned around, smirking the minute he noticed it was me.

I chuckled quietly, shooting him a wink as I did so.

"What was that about?" Tobi whispered to the right of me as the professor leading assembly rambled on.

I looked towards him, then away again. I hadn't even thought that he'd notice.. But, he did.

"Nothing, mate," I assured, shrugging nonchalantly before acting as if I was listening to the teacher.

"Oh, well.. Where did you go last night? I heard you sneaking back in early, I wanted to ask you at breakfast but.. I figured it might be secret," Tobi asked.

I sighed. I didn't want to lie or hide things from Tobi, out of everyone (besides Simon) he was the only person who seemed to actually be there for me.

"I slept in Simon's room.." I whispered in response, he just nodded; a slight tinge of confusion in his eyes. "You know, keep him company," I added.

"I'm glad you made up," he whispered with a smile, he glanced over at Simon silently for a mere moment, before speaking again. "I see the way you look at each other, and act about when you think no one sees," he commented, I gulped nervously.

"Yeah?" I asked, giving in. I shouldn't have to hide Simon for anyone.

"Yeah," he mumbled, turning back to me. "I won't say anything," he added; "I'm just happy for you both."

"Thanks," I smiled warmly, and he did the same back at me.

Tobi would make such an amazing dad.. Just a thought.

1:00 pm.

For the rest of the day, we got free periods to prepare and top up on revision for the exams.

I'd been revising quite a lot, along with Vik and Tobi. The rest of the lads, however, didn't really seem to care about their education.. Until today.
