It was 7:30,

Me, Jide, Tobi and Ethan were sat in the food hall, tucking into some breakfast.

It was Wednesday, which meant the only options were cereal or toast. We always complained that we wanted some bacon; but Vik was the only one who seemed to look forward to Wednesday breakfasts.

The lot of us, beside Jide had gotten a bowl of cornflakes.

"Hey, boys," I turned to see Harry take a seat next to me on the wooden bench.

I then saw Vik sit across from him, cereal in his hands.

Typical Vik.

We all knew that wherever Harry was; Vik wouldn't be that far behind.

"Where the fuck is Simon? You said he'd be with you two," I asked, furrowing my brows to Harry, who was slobbishly stuffing his face with toasted bread.

"Mhm, hmm, fhh," Harry tried to speak through his full mouthful of toast, I just rolled my eyes and looked to Vik, who would hopefully be more useful in the situation.

"He's ill, I don't think he's coming into lessons today," Vikk shrugged, taking a sip of the banana milk carton he'd purchased.

I looked down at my now, empty bowl. I was so confused.

I knew for a fact he want ill. Was he avoiding me after I told him I saw the marks on his back?

"Oh, Harry. You're a child," I heard Vik speak, we all turned to him as he leaned over the table, using his thumb to wipe a blob of butter from the side of Harry's mouth.

He then sat back down, beginning to tuck into his breakfast again.

"Cheers," Harry then thanked, his mouth now empty; Thank god.

"Vik, was that necessary?" Ethan chirped in, after staying quiet for most of the morning; he wasn't necessarily the most chatty bloke at this hour.

"Leave it, Behz," I cut him off as soon as Vik's cheeks started to burn, and Harry just glanced away awkwardly.

"Alright, I was just-"

"Is Simon going to be at the meal tonight, though?" Jide cut Ethan off with a useful question being asked.

"Dunno. He said he still is but; he also said he was ill," Vik shrugged.

"He ain't fucking ill," I hissed, not enjoying the fact he was distancing himself from us lot at all.

"I don't think he is either," Harry shrugged before wiping his mouth on the back of his sleeve; leaving it covered in crumbs.

"Same," Tobi hummed.

He's acting so different this year.

"Make it quick, okay? I can't keep lookout forever.." Tobi shook his head as me and him stood outside of the Boy's Dorm.

The plan was for me to go to Si's room, get him to tell me what the fuck had been going on; then I'd get out without being detected, as we weren't allowed access to the dorms at break times.
