Tuesday morning. My alarm went off just as it did yesterday morning. I shut off my alarm coming from my phone and sat up rubbing my eyes. I did the same routine I did yesterday. Shower. Brush my teeth. Another pair of jeans and a different sweatshirt.

I finished myself up and went downstairs with my phone and backpack to not see my dad there like usual. Weird.

I didn't bother looking for him, seeing i would be late. So i grabbed my keys and walked outside.

To my surprise, I wasn't stopped by Grayson like i usually am when i put my stuff in my car. Once again, weird. I decided to just be on my way, going to school.

I got there earlier today than yesterday seeing i wasn't stopped by my father or Grayson. I parked my car and stepped out. Seeing I was early, I decided to hang by my car for the time being. I took out my phone going through twitter, instagram, and any other social media app that crossed my mind.

"Hi, you're the new girl right?"

I heard someone talking to me from behind me. I turned around to see someone who I really haven't seen yet.

"Oh, uh, yeah. I'm Valerie."

"Hi Valerie. I'm Talita and this is my friend Aileen. Welcome to Eastwood High." She said smiling.

"Oh, thanks." I smiled back. Talita and Aileen sounded very familiar. Thats when I realized Linnea said they're part of the 'weird outcast group.'

"If you ever need help, don't be afraid to come to us." Aileen said with a smile.

"Yeah, thanks." I said smiling back again and looked down.

They then walked away to their group again and I couldn't help but notice, while they walked back I saw Ethan starring at me, again.

I looked down turning back to face my car again going back on my phone right before the bell rang.

I made my way to my locker before Linnea, Paige, and Chastity came up to me.

"So you were talking to Aileen and Talita." I heard Chastity say. I shut my locker and faced them.

"Well they came up to me, I couldn't ignore them."

"We're not saying its a bad thing." Paige said smiling.

"Its just that, like I said, they never and i mean ever talk to anyone outside their group." Linnea said looking at me. I shrugged, honestly I didn't know.

"I really don't know."

"Hm. Oh well." Chastity said with a shrug.

The bell ring after a couple minutes and i made my way to English with Paige. English went by in a blur as usual and so did lunch and all my other classes with nothing new happening, until the one class I dreaded came up. The one where I feel uncomfortable, unwanted. Chemistry.

I walked in with Chastity taking my seat where I sat yesterday. Not more than two seconds later, Ethan walked sitting next to me, just like yesterday. I shifted uncomfortably in my seat.

"Good morning class." Mrs. Stanley said as she put her papers down on her desk. Everyone mumbled a 'good morning' back.

"So, since we are on day 2 back from our Winter break, we are going to be starting a project! For this project we will work with mixing chemicals in beakers and trying to come up with good formulas." (a/n i don't take chemistry, so i don't know how to do this stuff, I'm just taking things from what i know.)

"You will be paired up with the person next to you." She said looking through her papers.

There were amounts of sighs and 'yays' throughout the room. I sighed.

The teacher handed out beakers and various chemicals to all the students. She then gave goggles and aprons.

"Be careful and have fun! You have the rest of the week. The report will be due on Friday, if you have any questions, please ask." She said sitting at her desk.

This can't be happening. Why do we have to have partners?! Im so much better at independent work. But i need this grade so what else can I do.

I looked at all the chemicals placed in front of me and Ethan. Ugh. Why?

And then something I didn't expect to happen. Happened. I heard a voice come from beside me. A deep, raspy voice. Something I wasn't expecting. And that voice had said--

"Hello. I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself yesterday. I'm Ethan Dolan."

OMG ANOTHER CHAPTER AFTER FORVER!!! YAYYY!!
