After Dark || D.T.

FIVE.

(Everyone who wasn't in the last chapter who is suppose to be in the story will be welcomed in this chapter! Enjoy:)

Me and Paige made it to English on time, right before the bell.

"This is my seat!" Paige said grabbing my hand and leading me to her seat.

"You could sit next to me." She said smiling as she sat in her own.

"Thanks." I said and smiled placing my books down.

The teacher walked in moments later.

"That's Mr. Clark. He's really boring but nice." Paige whispered to me and I nodded.

"Good morning class." Mr.Clark said placing his books down.

He started taking attendance as I tried to organize myself.

"Valerie Lockhart?" He said looking up. I raised my hand. I really didn't want to much attention drawn to me.

"Welcome to Eastwood High." He said looking back down to his sheet.

"Thanks." I said looking down as Paige chuckled.

The rest of the class went by in a blur. Same as the others including Algebra and Spanish. Next was lunch so I went to my locker putting my books away as I saw Linnea coming up to me.

"Hey!" She said smiling. I shut my locker and smiled.

"Hi!"

"So hows your day going so far?" She said as we walked to lunch together.

"Eh, it's honestly not as bad as I thought it would be." I smiled.

"Thats good!" She smiled back at me.

As we walked into the cafeteria, Chastity stood up and waved me and Linnea over to the table as we went over.

"Hey guys!" Paige said smiling.

"Hi guys." Chastity said.

Me and Linnea sat down in open spots at the table.

"Hey guys." Linnea smiled.

"So, hows your first day going?" Chastity said looking at me.

"Oh, its going pretty good for the most part. I still have four more classes." I said and chuckled.

"Noo." Chastity said sarcastically and smirked as Linnea rolled her eyes playfully.

"Me and Chastity are going to go get our lunch, you guys coming?" Paige said looking at me and Linnea.

"Nah, I have my own lunch." Linnea said.

"I'm not really hungry." I said being honest.

"Okay!" Paige said going to lunch with Chastity.

I looked around the lunchroom as Linnea ate her lunch.

"So, whats this school like?" I said looking at her.

'Well." She swallowed her sandwich. "Over at that table I guess you could say are the 'emos'. They don't talk that much or do much of anything." She said looking over to a lunch table in the corner. I looked and nodded. They seemed so dark and had headphones in. Remind me not to mess with them.

"Over at that table is the populars and the jocks. They don't really bother people unless you bother them. Thankfully." Linnea rolled her eyes as I chuckled.

"Hmm. Oh! Over there are the nerds. They practically have all Honors or AP classes and are always on their computers. They're actually pretty nice for the most part." Linnea shrugged eating again.

"And well my group, We're pretty much normal. We're not weird, popular, nerds, were just kind of here." Linnea smiled at me. "I think you'll fit in just fine with us."

"Thanks, I appreciate it." I smiled back at her.

I looked around the lunch room again spotting some more people walking in.

"How about them?" I said looking at the lunch room doors. Linnea turned around.

"Oh, them? I don't even know what you would classify them as. They're really quiet and keep to themselves most of the time. They don't interact with people outside their so called 'group' which has quite a few people." Linnea shrugged as I nodded looking at them.

Many people walked in. They all had such a blank expression on their face. It was weird to me.

"You seem interested." Linnea laughed.

"Oh." I chuckled. "No, they just seem different." I shrugged turning back around.

"Oh trust me. They are." Linnea laughed again looking at them. "That one there with the brown ombre blondish hair, her name is Aileen I think. She's usually really nice for the most part but sassy too." (Welcome hawt_dolantwins from insta)

"Oh and that one with the black hair but really nice grey blueish eyes. I'm pretty sure her name is Talita." (Welcome timelessdolans from insta) Linnea said taking another bite from her sandwich.

"You think?" I said looking at her.

"Hey, like I said theres a lot of them and they don't talk much." Linnea smirked.

"Them two are pretty good friends I think. Usually very sarcastic. The one with long brown hair is Serena and the girl with curly brown hair is Malak."

Two boys walked in.

"And them?"

"Those two. Psh. Thats Nate and Aaron. They are two of the hottest boys in this school." Linnea smirked looking at me as I rolled my eyes. (Aye surprise welcome Aaron Carpenter and Nate Garner :)

"And that last girl of the group with curly black hair is Crystal with her boyfriend Jack Gilinsky." (Welcome sugar.jacks from insta and Jack Gilinsky) Linnea said rolling her eyes. "They are practically connected at the hip but they're still cute."

I nodded looking at the large group. They all  seemed really nice to be honest but they seemed so out of it and distant. I was never one to wanna know more about people but with them, I did.

Then the lunch room doors swung open and in came and tall guy with dark brown wavy hair and what looked like a purple fading streak in the front of it. Linnea turned around.

"And last but not least. Ethan. (And welcome Ethan Dolan;) He never talks or does practically anything, unlike the others. He's just really hot and just gives off an intimidating vibe. Especially if you make eye contact with him." Linnea said turning around smiling.

I nodded and continued looking. This whole time I felt myself just nodding continuously. Perhaps this was because i was very interested in everything thats happening around me for once. I looked at the so called Ethan and everyone else at the table.

Aileen and Talita were talking to Aaron and Nate. Serena and Malak were talking to each other. And Jack and Crystal were talking. On the other hand Ethan was just sitting there looking around. They didn't get up for lunch, they didn't go and talk to anyone else in the lunch room. Like Linnea said, they just stayed there and did, well. Nothing.

I turned around and stopped staring before I got caught. Something just seemed different from them than the others in the lunch room. I got a weird vibe from them. But what am I to know, I just got here. Right..?
