hey everyone! I would first like to apologize. Theres been a lot going on in my family right now. But this book has become very long and you guys show so much support. I could never give it up. Things have been pretty slow, but the pace is going to quicken up! I hope you like this chapter and everyone coming up. I appreciate every single one of you. Thank you for everything!
"Holy shit.." I said staring at the outside of Ethan's home as I sat in the passenger seat of his car. It was beautiful, truly.
"What.?" Ethan said with a light chuckle and glanced at me before parking his car in his designated spot.
"Your house.. its gorgeous Ethan oh my god." I said looking at him. He smiled looking down before locking his eyes with mine.
"Thank you. I appreciate it. Come on." He said getting out the car quickly. I smirked and hopped out his car. Suddenly the anger I felt from Grayson only an hour ago had faded away. I felt so special to be seeing Ethans house. Yes, I had met his friends and family, but I haven't seen the in depth of it all.
He came around and grabbed my hand with his cold one, something I was used to by now. He squeezed it and paused for a second while looking at me. "Look Valerie.. you know what I am." Ethan said looking at me. His tone and mood had completely changed and shifted to something much more vulnerable and less exciting.
"Yeah, of course." I said looking up at him.
"Just.. follow behind me. I know they'll love you considering they already met you. I just want my parents to love you too. So just, stay behind me. Okay?"
I nodded, kind of confused. But then remembering. Ethan wasn't your average day guy. He was a vampire. A cold blooded monster to most, but to me, I may as well have forgotten. He was just a guy to me. Or.. not just a guy. A special one. One that I adored.
"Okay Ethan." I said, showing him I completely understood. Ethan kept my hand tight in his and we walked up the steps to his beautiful house. Before I knew it, I was inside. I looked around. High ceilings, many windows, light walls. Bright surprisingly. Not much like the vampire books with coffins and dungeons. It was like a normal home.
"Mom.. this is Valerie." Ethan said. I felt the nerves coming off him. No one else was in the room except for her, Jack, and Malak. If I remember their names properly..
"So. you're the girl my son has been talking about." She said looking at me and stepped forward. Something I noticed about her was her red eyes. While Ethan had his hazel ones, hers were far off. I looked up at Ethan then at her and smiled.
"Yeah.. I'm Valerie." I said and smiled trying my hardest to make a good impression.
Ethan's moms smile faded and then she looked at Ethan. They both locked eyes and it was as if they were communicating without talking. Not going to lie, I felt awkward. But I kept my cool and stood there beside my boyfriend.
"Why don't you show Valerie your room.. Ethan." She said and smiled. The smile looked faker than fake, but I would never question.
"Yeah of course... Come on Valerie." Ethan said squeezing my hand as we went up the staircase to go to where I'm guessing his room was.
We walked into a small room. It had a small bed in the corner and a book shelf with many books on it.
"Wow.. this is really nice Ethan." I said and turned to him. He smiled as he shut his door behind him. "Thanks babe." He said with a smirk. I smiled.
