I woke up reminiscing on everything with Grayson from the day before. Today was a Friday and I wasn't ready to go to school and face Ethan, nor did i want too. But i couldn't get my mind off of everything that Grayson was going on about yesterday.

I woke up and did my normal thing to get ready for school. I threw on a sweater, unplugged my phone grabbing it along with my bag.

I went downstairs, not surprised to not see my dad there. I shook my head and grabbed my keys off the hook. I went out the house closing the door behind me. Grayson wasn't there today just like the day before. I was surprised seeing our conversation from yesterday.

I sighed and went to my car hopping in and starting it up. I made my way to school with too much on my mind.

I thought Grayson and I were becoming close from the way things were starting to be. But what I still couldn't get off my mind was what he said about Ethan. Why?

Even though how much I didn't think it was a good idea or how i was scared too, I knew I really wanted to ask Ethan about Grayson. So I was going too.

I pulled into the school yard and got out of my car with my stuff. I felt eyes on me. But i ignored it, looking down making my way into the building.

I went to my locker just in time to be greeted from Linnea.

"Hey bestie!" She said with smile. I chuckled and shook my head.

"Hey Linnea." I said getting stuff from my locker.

"So I saw you and Ethan talking after biology." She said with a smirk.

"Oh yeah." I said and shrugged it off closing my locker.

"What I'm trying to get at is that Ethan never really talks to anyone, like I told you before so its kind of weird he actually talked to you." She said and chuckled. I shrugged.

"I don't know." I said and chuckled.

After that the bell rang.

"Well, I'll see you at lunch!" Linnea said running off.

"Yep. See ya."

After that everything went by quick and in a blur as always. That is until lunch.

I sat at my normal table with Linnea, Paige, and Chastity.

Paige and Chastity came back with their lunch and engaged in a conversation with Linnea but as always i just kind of sat there lost in a daze of my own thoughts.

As i sat there my eyes caught the eyes of another. Specifically golden colored eyes.

That just happened to be Ethan Dolan.

He was staring at me and caught him, but unlike a normal person. He didn't turn away.

This just makes things ten times harder to talk to him about Grayson.

"What do you think Valerie?" I heard Paige say, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Oh, uh, yeah." I said turning back around and shaking my head hoping that was the right answer.

"Exactly!" Paige said to Chastity. I honestly didn't have the slightest idea as to what they were talking about.

As I sat there, I debated on going to get lunch for once, so I did.

"Be right back guys." I said getting up. Linnea chuckled.

"Going to talk to Ethan?" She said doing 'wiggly eyebrows.'
