My eyes shot right open at the same time my body shot up. My eyes scanned the whole room. From the white walls, and bed I could tell that I was in the Hospital. Lucky me...

Couldn't they have just left me in the desert? I mean I didn't ask for help in the first place. They better not be waiting for some kind of payment of gratitude.

I looked at my arm to see an IV attached to it. Then I looked at the window, which didn't seem to be locked. There's no way I was going to stick around, even if I have to drag myself out of here.

"I wouldn't be planning an escape just yet if I were you." I looked over to the door to see a man with red hair, and green eyes. The two ninja from before were standing on either side of him. I narrowed my eyes at them.

"So much for a thank you..." The guy I remembered as Kankuro muttered. I rolled my eyes... Keep dreaming....

They walked over to me, the red head taking a seat in a chair beside me. "If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions."

I shrugged, causing Kankuro to grit his teeth and glare at me. Temari let out a sigh, while the red head just stared at me, and continued to speak."I'm the Kazekage of this village, Sunagakure, my name is Gaara, can you tell me yours?"

"Doesn't matter..." I muttered, keeping my gaze on the sheets that layed over my legs.

"Look, kid we just saved you from being brutally beaten by a bunch of rogue, the least you could do is make our lives easier and cooperate." Kankuro snapped at me.

"I don't recall ever asking for you to come 'save' me." I retorted, shooting him a glare that mirrored his own.

"Why you little-"

"Enough, Kankuro." Gaara rose his hand, signaling him to stop arguing with me. That didn't stop him from shooting me menacing glares, and me glady returning them with my own.

"We know that you just went through alot with those rogue ninja back there, but your safe now. You can trust us." Temari said, trying to get to me.

"When can I leave?" I asked, looking down at my hands and ignoring everything she just said.

"This is useless." The puppeteer groaned, dragging a hand down his face. "It's a waste of time trying to get this kid to answer our questions."

"Listen to him, you don't want anything to do with me. I'll just be a waste of your time as he said." I advised them, finally agreeing with Kankuro. The other two looked at eachother then back at me."So, just give up."

"Sorry to disappoint, but I don't give up as easily as you think." Gaara said, his sister smiling down at me, while his brother smirked.

I stared at him for a moment, than responded,"Neither do I."

"What if we take turns answering questions." He tried to negotiate, but I shook my head.

"I want nothing to do with any of you." I said, glaring at the three."I want to leave."

"If you cooperate than we can come to a resolution." He simply stated, crossing his arms at the same time I did.

Kankuro laughed at our stare down,"She sort of reminds me of someone, eh Temari?"

"Definetley." She nodded with a smirk.

I scoffed, rolling my eyes. If they were comparing me to Gaara, they are way out of their minds. I'm nothing like this guy. Saying that we're alike is like saying water and oil are the same.

I looked at the red head in front of me in the eyes. Not a hint of doubt, or sign of faltering could be found. I'm not planning on sitting here forever, maybe just answering their stupid questions will speed this up. Than I can just leave.

"Ruri." I mumbled, inaudibly, yet I didn't tear my gaze from Gaara's challenging eyes.

"What was that?" Kankuro rose a brow.

"Are you deaf?" I snapped.

"Well, maybe if you just used your damn voice it wouldn't seem like it." He snapped back.

I let out an irritated sigh, deciding that arguing with him will only make this little 'Q&A' last longer than I wanted it to.

"My name is Ruri." I said louder, glaring at him as I did.

"So the brat isn't nameless." He taunted, and I was seconds away from jumping at him.

"Ruri...." Temari mused,"Like the gemstone."

"So, Ruri do you have a last name?" Gaara asked. My eyes shifted to the side at that one.

He watched me carefully, before sighing knowing that he definitely won't be getting an answer, let alone an honest one.

"How old are you, and where are you from?"

"Eight..... And I'm from somewhere." He deadpanned at me."You said you wanted answers, and I'm answering your questions to the best of my ability."

"Wow... I almost believed in that lie." Kankuro said sarcastically.

"We won't be getting much from you, considering you don't trust us not one bit, am I right?" Gaara said, raising a nonexistent brow.

I nodded curtly. Why is he asking me if he already knew the answer? That pointless question just wasted two seconds of my life.

He looked at his sibblings, who nodded, before turning back to me."I'll be placing you under the care of a woman who takes in children."

"So in other words you're putting me in an orphanage." I said bluntly, narrowing my eyes at him,"Look I have no intentions on staying with a bunch of strangers, let alone be apart of your village if that's what you're aiming for."

"One month." He said, causing me to furrow my brows in confusion.

"What?" I spat.

"Give me one month." He repeated."After a month passes, if you decide that you still want to leave, you can."

"Why can't I just leave now? Why are you so bent on making me stay here?" I questioned.

"As I said before,'I don't give up as easily as you think'." He shrugged, placing a hand on my shoulder.

I stared at it for a moment before blatantly shrugging it off. He didn't seem offended or shocked by my actions he just smiled gently. I rolled my eyes at that.

"Than why give me a choice?"I asked suspiciously as he got up.

"I have my reasons." Was his only answer, as he headed for the door. Temari placed a bag on my lap, which I assumed held clothes inside.

"I'll be back in ten minutes." She said, following her brother out the door.

Kankuro followed, but not before he gave me a short wave and said, "See you later brat."

I glared at the now closed door, and threw myself back onto the bed. Great.... Now I have to wait a whole month so they can let me leave this place. Lucky me...

What does it matter anyway. If I just pushed them far enough, everything, their smiles, their words, their 'good intentions'... It all proves to be nothing but empty.

So that was the second chapter for you. So Ruri pretty much hates everybody, and is ready to hurt someone. Don't worry she will... Very soon.XD

Also considering this is the next generation lets talk about hairstyles. Gaara is going to have the same hairstlye that he had in Shippuden because their is no way that I will allow him to go on with that monstrosity.... Yes, I know I need help... Oh, well.

Anyway thanks for reading hope you enjoyed reading this chapter!:)))
