She had pale blonde hair and grey eyes as pale as my own. Her icy, spiteful glare was more than enough to show that she loathe me. Why? I don't know. I don't recall ever doing anything bad to her. Eversince I was five she hated me, and I could easily tell.Nobi growled loudly, his head lowered, feet apart, just ready to attack."Shut up mutt." She hissed."Protecting her of all people is stupid."
"What do you want from me?" I asked, crossing my arms.
She chuckled maliciously, blood lust practically radiating from her."What I want from you, dear little Ruri, is your life."
My eyes widened, and I stepped back, the shaking in my hands wasn't noticeable. I took a deep breath and looked up at her. I needed to get the hell out of here and now."Is there any reason for this certain desire of yours, Mayumi?"
"Like you wouldn't know?" She spat, rolling her eyes."It's your fault I'm like this. Your fault that I'm marked with this scar." She took her arm out from underneath her cloak, and rolled up her sleeve to see a horrible, yet healed burn mark. I kept myself from looking away until she finally rolled her sleeve back down.
"How is that my fault exactly?" I asked, growing a bit annoyed. Why is she putting me at fault for an incident that I didn't even know took place.
"That night.... There was fire." She explained and I knew perfectly well of what she spoke of. I felt as if flames were reflecting from my eyes as I stared down at the snow."He didn't come save me. I called his name, but he never came. And why didn't he come, you may ask. Because he was worried about you and that pathetic little boy. He went to save you, when we were friends longer that you've lived.... Yet he worried about you?!"
It wasn't about that scar. It was about him. She wanted my head on a platter because of her obsession over a boy.
"You had him wrapped around your little finger. He barely even talked to me because he wanted to train you and the other little brat!"I looked up at the sky. A few hours until sundown. How long can I hold on until Gaara realizes I'm not coming back before the sun sets?
"He's isn't a brat." I said keeping my cool.
"You're right."She laughed like a psychopath. She suddenly stopped, her stare bringing chills down my spine. For a split second she was gone until her voice was right behind me, and she whispered in my ear."He's dead..."
I was punched many feet across from where we stood, skidding the snow. I almost hit the trunk of a tree, but luckily managed not to. Gritting my teeth I cast her a deadly glare.
"Look at those eyes..." She smiled, throwing a kunai in front of me."It seems that you haven't lost your Fuyu traits."
I picked up the sharp objects to see black eyes being mirrored."Though I can see it. You're a bit cold. Too much time away from the snow has done you no good."
She was starting to annoy me. Nobi jumped, ready to attack, but she moved just in time."Watch out!"I yelled as she hovered above him. Her palm hit it's back, a piece of paper stuck to him.
"That should keep him still for a few hours." She nodded in satisfaction. "Now where were we? Does it anger you to see the person you cared for the most.... die. Just like that..."
"He isn't dead!" I yelled.
"If only he would've been there to save you and him then. Where was he Ruri? Where is he now?" She questioned me, with every word she took a step closer.
"I don't know." She easily hoisted me up by my collar glaring up at me."I know he's here somewhere. Where the hell is Nozomi?"
"Let me go!" I shouted, struggling to get out of her grip."Why do care about him so much?! He left you! He gave up on everything a long time ago..."
