Yoshi is a weird boy; That's what I've learned since I've first met him.

He pays attention more than any kid in class. Even when our teacher just takes a seat, he finds the need to take note of it. When we walk through the village he tries to count every cloud he sees instead of thinking of what it looks like. Every time he write his name, he dots the 'i' with a smiley face. He also carries a black marker with him everywhere he goes.

Wanna know something that's more weird about him?

He's not here. When I walked into class he was nowhere to be found. You might think I'm overreacting, that he might just be absent. That can't be though, he's never been absent for school, not even when he doesn't feel well.

I leaned back in my chair, deciding to just visit him after school. A few rows in front of me I spot the boy that was getting bullied by Moeru and his friends. He had on his grey hood, reminding me of myself as he stared out the window. I assume that he felt my gaze on him because he then turned to look at me.

He gave me an emotionless glance before turning back to stare at the window. I looked to my side, expecting Yoshi to be there to say something about it, but soon I remember he wasn't here.

I mentally sighed.

************

I threw a small pebble at Yoshi's window. When he didn't answer, I threw two more. It wasn't long until he opened it, raising a brow at me."Really, Beehive? This cliche?"

"Well maybe if you would've answered the damn door I wouldn't have to resort to such a cliche." I crossed my arms, smirking a bit.

He shook his head, putting his head back inside the window. After a few minutes he finally walked outside with Hashiro."C'mon let's go for a walk." He said, and I merely nodded in response.

"Why weren't you in school today?" I asked, stuffing my hands in my pockets. He seemed to be lost in another world, kicking the sand with the toe of his shoe."Yoshi?" I called his name in attempt to bring him back to the real world.

"Oh, sorry...." He scratched the back of his head,"My parents were sort of arguing and I got no sleep. Emiko insisted that I stayed home."

"Is something going on?" He looked at me, and shrugged. Either he didn't wanted to talk about it or he didn't know the answer himself. Whatever it was, I left it alone."Just look at the sky." I said as we stopped in front of my house, taking a seat on the porch.

"What?" Confusion was lucid on his face.

"It's make you feel better somehow." I answered."I remember Gaara told me, it reminds you of what's important when you feel like your alone in the dark. So far it's been working..."

He thought for a moment, his usual smile finally appearing on his face,"Hey, I want to show you something."

We sat in the living room, watching some superhero show. I honestly didn't understand what was going on, or what Yoshi was going on about, but he seemed to be extremely fascinated by it.

"I don't get it." I said, knitting my brows and curling my lips to the side."Why is this so amazing to you?"

"It's just one of those things that just make you happy, y'know." He shrugged, still keeping his eyes locked on the screen."Gives me something to look forward, I mean don't you have something like that?"
