"Never thought I would see you all alone." I sat on a swing beside Yoshi. We were finally back in Suna, and the first thing I decided to do was to look for the blonde idiot."You're back." He lifted his head up in great enthusiasm."The Great Beehive is back!"
"Don't be so loud, you moron." I rolled my eyes, but couldn't help but smirk a little."What are you doing here all by yourself, anyways?"
"I guess I don't really have any friends other than you..."He trailed off, rubbing the back of his neck everso sheepishly. Something about him was different, I could tell. I didn't ask him about it, just nodded."Woah, wait..."
"What?" I rose a brow at him, wondering what 'amazing' discovery he made this time.
"You didn't correct me!" He shouted, jumping off the swing, dancing around me."You didn't correct me when I reffered to you as my friend!"
I sighed, shrugging."And....."
"Does that mean we're friends?" He asked a shimmer of hope in his eyes.
"Sure...." I smirked, and he smiled brightly as if he wasn't all by himself just a few minutes ago.
Our attention was adverted to the other side of the playground, a kid wearing a grey hoodie was being surrounded by a group of three boys. They were all in our class in the academey. I didn't know their names, and frankly I couldn't care less.
Yoshi got up, picking up a pebble. A sigh escaped my lips,"Are we really going to involve ourselves in this? The kid looks like he can beat them."
It was true, he wasn't shooked by the fact that he was outnumbered. There was a black bird on his shoulder, that had light, green eyes that matched his own. He also had black hair, the front of it reaching his eyes. His gaze was unfaltering, not a single sign of worry was evident.
"There's no way I'm going to stand by and watch this kid be bullied." With that being said, Yoshi threw the rock, hitting the leader of the group in the back of the head.
"What the...." He growled, then whirled around as we walked over to them."It's you two losers...." He glared at us, clearly knowing who we were. The boy had brown hair, blue eyes, glasses, and one bad attitude. It was worse than mine when I first got here, and I didn't even know that was possible.
"Who're you calling loser.... loser." Gosh, Yoshi's trash talk was just as bad as his common sense.
"Look,"I decided to that it'd be best for me to talk."Just leave the kid alone."
"Or what?" He said daringly. I let out a deep breath, why did I let Yoshi drag me into a fight that wasn't even mine nor his?
"Woah, I wouldn't mess with her, Moeru." One of his friend objected, giving me the boy's name.
"Why not?" Moeru asked, shooting his friend a menacing glare. This kid sure makes a great pal to have, huh?
"She's Ruri, the daughter of the Kazekage." The other boy imformed him, practically sweating bullets.
"Like I care." He snapped, I looked over at the boy in the grey hoodie. He seemed indifferent about all of this. We made eye contact for a second, but he quickly turned his head away. What's up with this kid?
