*Clove's POV *

We went to the forest to look for our new hideout since the cornucopia blew up.

"Only 7 of us left." Marvel had spoken, breaking the silence.

"Yeah. Until only one is left." I said.

Until the lone survivor is left. All of these will end in few days or so.

"May the best one win." said Marvel.

I can see the bloodlust in his eyes. But he's keeping it cool. He's unpredictable. He's a jester and a killer at the same time. In contrary, Ian is cryptic. He knows lot of things and uses it for his own advantage. No doubt from a tribute of district 3. But he's good at making alliance or it's just Cato who lets him in easily. Never thought I'll be dealing with these people. Somehow, it makes the game more interesting and arduous. Not just a bunch of kids who stupidly trip themselves to death.

"Okay, to think that Katniss loses an ally means that she's out there looking for Peeta if they were not able to reunite. Or she's probably wandering around all alone." said Cato.

"Isn't Peeta dead?" asked Marvel.

"To recap, only 7 of us left. You, me, Cato, Ian, Katniss, Thresh the guy from district 11 and Peeta of course. Have you seen his canon goes off? Probably not." I responded.

"How do you even know.. Thresh?" asked Marvel in awe.

"As I said before, it's important to know who your enemies are. It's like I've got a list of their names in my head." I smiled confidently.

But Thresh, I forgot about that tough guy from 11. He's skilled and lethal too.

We've reached our new hideout. Ian volunteered to gather some woods for our fire. Marvel decided to polish our weapons. While I'm stuck with Cato doing nothing.

"Sorry about what I said earlier." he sat beside me.

"It's fine. I'm not talking his side nor defending him. I was just .. deceiving him. Into believing that I do consider him as an ally."

"That's my girl." he whispered and kissed my cheek.

I hate you Cato.

Moments later Marvel arrived back. The three of us gathered.

"Do you really think Ian's beneficial to us?" asked Cato.

"He is for a while. Do you think he's capable of doing it to us too?" Marvel responded.

"If he can do it to others there's no doubt that he can do it to us too. For him we're his enemies. We're all enemies. But of course, isn't alliances about gaining benefits? Once you get the benefit, it's either you just left or left your enemies behind dead."

Why am I talking about this? I'm just drawing my enemy's attention. But no, this is how I deal with it.

"Points taken. Why not we check his stuff?"

Marvel took Ian's backpack and rummaged it.

"I don't know what are these but I'm certain .." Marvel took out something from it.

"Wires. Where did he even managed to get these?" asked Cato.

"He's planning to kill us in our sleep or nah. But he's definitely going to kill us." said Marvel.

We've waited until Ian have returned from his wood gathering. The moment he dropped off the woods, I threw my knife directly on his arm, piercing it until it bleeds. His eyes widened. "What was that for?"

"For a moment, I thought you were one of us. You're a good ally. Dependable. Beneficial. But .." I said looking at his eyes filled with fear and confusion.

"We can't let someone like you kill us in our sleep or kill without us knowing. I know we're enemies and I understand how badly you wanted to kill us. We're all enemies. The three of us considered each other as enemies as well but we're playing fair to each other. Am I right?" said Marvel earnestly.

"It appears to be." I said uninterested.

"Our point is we can't let someone like you manipulates us or kill us. It's such a disappointment for our district just so you know. Wiress and Beetee, the victors from your district electrocuted their opponents. Seeing what you've done yesterday is a sign that you might as well kill us in ways your district had taught you or to the knowledge you have. You can't be one of us." said Cato, wielding his sword.

Ian immediately stood up and tries to escape but I threw my knife, hitting his leg. His pace becomes slower as he was limping. I threw another knife hitting his other leg. This time he fell to his knees.

Without a blink of an eye, Cato struck his sword into Ian's chest. Leaving him bleeding and choking on his own blood until his canon goes off. Leaving 6 tributes left.

"Okay. What did just happen?" asked Marvel who's a bit lost in a moment.

I approached Ian's lifeless body in attempt to get my knives but Cato stopped me. "What are you doing?" he asked.

"I'm going to get my knife."

"But you still have lots of it."

"It's one of my favorite.

"Well, you don't need those anymore. You can use your other ones. Just leave it there."

"Fine." I groaned.

'I'm sorry about what happened to you.' I thought to myself as I look into Ian's inanimate eyes. 'I should be the one to kill you. You're fortunate it was Cato. There's no thrill when he kills. But it's better this way, you'll die anyway.' I sighed in disappointment.
