Aftermath

Clove's POV

I was enraptured after the tracker jacker incident which caused Glimmer's death. That annoying girl is gone. But Katniss is still alive, there's no guarantee of triumph yet. Suddenly, these two guys with me started bickering with each other. I was filled with rage and I want to grab the chance while both are distracted and kill them. My problem will be solved then. But still, I have to stick with the plan.

"While you two are blabbering nonsense with each other Peeta must be on his way out escaping or finding his way back to Katniss. Isn't it great?" I rolled my eyes.

Both of them just stay still. Unable to look at each other.

"You don't have to apologize to each other if you don't want to. You're going to kill each other anyway. We're going to kill each other. No need to make amends. It's just one or none of us might make it till the end."

Why am I even saying this things to them?

"I was just messing with you." Cato laughed while looking at Marvel.

"It's definitely not right. I was frustrated. But I guess I overreacted.My apologies." said Marvel, smile forming on his face.

"What's that? I didn't get the last part." said Cato.

"Never mind. Let's go! Shall we?" said Marvel optimistically as he started heading to the cornucopia.

"You two are derisive!" I told Cato as I started moving when suddenly two arms enfold around me.

"I'm glad you're fine. I'll do anything for you." Cato whispered loud enough for me to hear.

Both of us stayed still. I feel his embrace tightens. I was hoping a hidden camera would caught what he's doing. It's time for the plan to work.
