So I'm writing this at four in the morning because of a HUGE storm that kept me up all night. If this chapter is updated really late, it's because the power went out and I got trapped in by flooding.
And it's about an hour drive to the closest town.
But seriously, I'm legitimately scared. I'm kinda afraid of thunder and lightning. If my house gets blown away tonight, I'm sorry I didn't finish the fic!!

________________________Zero's POV
We had spent the last few days lounging around the Tardis, but there were a few things that were sorted. The Doctor helped me find some new cloths. And we'd settled on plain black pants, a peculiar v-neck shirt the Tardis had produced (after I put it on, I realised it was an X-ray and I could see both of my hearts!), and a variety of flannel button ups. The Doctor and I had a slight disagreement when it came to footwear. He insisted that I needed shoes, but I thought I was fine barefoot. I finally agreed to let him pick out a pair of trainers for me, and he gave me a pair of beaten up white converse.
"They're way to big!" I protested, holding up the battered shoes.
He snatched them from me and soniced them, sticking his tongue between his teeth as he did so. "There we go!" He said grinning, and the shoes fit perfectly.
"How-" I began, but he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the console room.
"Sonic screwdriver!" He shouted gleefully.
"Yes I know!" I replied breathlessly.
He began pressing buttons on the console, muttering to himself. Finally he shouted "One sonic screwdriver for Zero!" He handed me the device proudly.
"Woah," I murmured, turning it over in my hands. It was similar to his, except larger. The tip was a fusion of blue and green, and there was a small compartment hidden in the handle. "What's this for?" I asked, opening the compartment.
"Hmm... let me see!" The Doctor said, taking it from me and placing it on the console. He pressed buttons and pulled levers until finally exclaiming "It is for... Tardis Heart!"
"What? Why?" I asked, completely dumbfounded.
"In case you get lost and need to pull her to you?" He suggested, patting the pilot chair affectionately.
"Oh..." I muttered, terrified at the thought of loosing the Doctor. "Anyways! Thank you!! I love it!" I said cheerfully.
"Your welcome!" The doctor replied, grinning goofily and pulling me into a hug.
___________________________"If the only foods you eat are banana bread and sundaes, you're gonna get sick!" The Doctor laughed.
"So!" I protested, taking another bite of my ice cream.
The Doctor and I sat in the Tardis kitchen eating ice cream sundaes with ridiculously long spoons. We'd been talking quite a lot; about his companions, places he wanted to take me, my life on Gallifrey. We'd sat curled up in the library all night, talking about me and the Time War. I told him about the Timelords' secret plan to save the knowledge of Gallifrey that went sour.
When I was five years old I was taken, only to be forced to read about, and memorise, every piece of knowledge gathered by the Timelords. I spent 200 years reading and listening to stories, and then The Doctor destroyed Gallifrey. And I was sent away, only to wait another 200 years trapped in the darkness of the prison cell. But I had no hatred or anger towards The Doctor, in fact it was quite the opposite. The Doctor saved my life in so many ways; from the Daleks, and from the Timelords. No one should know that much about it the universe, no one should have that much knowledge. I would have died sooner than later. And although I know more than anyone else about this universe, I have never lived.
