Just a little warning...
There will be LOTS of perspective changes in this chapter!! I'm sorry for any confusion!
Also, I'd like to thank izzyrxze for helping me so much with this fic, especially this chapter!! And thank you for letting me use your name!
Also, in case you guys didn't know, a moment is exactly forty seconds. And I use a moment as a measurement of time more often than not. I hope that helps you understand a bit more!!

___________________________The Doctor's POV
She had been awake for a full ten minutes now. I knew this because exactly ten minutes ago her breathing pattern changed and her grip on my shirt had tightened.
We'd fallen asleep together last night, and I have to admit that the events prior had flustered me. Zero had come to me in the middle of the night, wearing nothing but my hoodie and a pair of very short grey pyjama shorts. Seeing her in this had caught me off guard: I'd never seen her in less clothing. Not to mention that little scar on her lip. Oh my lord, that scar. Every time I saw it, it reminded me of how I broke my promise: I let her get hurt. I thought I had everything under control, and the event was something I could have prevented, but somehow she ended up with a concussion and a split lip. And I was terrified that she was cross with me.
But of course she wasn't, because she'd let me hold her all night to prevent nightmares. It was something I was far to eager to do to say I have platonic feelings for her. And now while I stared at her, her face half buried in my chest, my hearts seemed to flutter.
"What were you thinking about?" She suddenly murmured, still cocooned in my embrace.
"What?"
"What were you thinking about?" She repeated.
I didn't know how to respond. Did I tell her that my thoughts were completely occupied by her? "Making tea," I lied.
She started giggling until she was completely shaking with laughter. And I started laughing too. "Why?" I giggled.
"Well your hearts sped up a little, and I thought maybe you were thinking about something you love," she explained through fits of laughter, moving her head so she could look at me.
"I do love tea!" I replied grinning at her.
"That's not what I meant!" Zero laughed, sitting up. I pulled her back down and rolled over so I was almost on top of her and began tickling her. "No! Doctor! Noo!" She laughed uncontrollably, trying desperately to roll us over so she had the advantage. Tears from laughter stained her cheeks and mine hurt from grinning. She finally managed to roll us over so she was sitting on top of me, still giggling. I desperately tried to keep my cheeks from flushing when I realised the intimacy of the situation.
"I'm the winner," she declared. "I'm the queen!"
Watching her staring at me, I couldn't keep myself from grinning. She was so beautiful; Her white hair tousled from sleep, her face makeup free, and she was wearing my hoodie. And it was then that I noticed that she'd gained weight. When I first found Zero, she was extremely thin and unhealthy. But over the last month she'd gained a few pounds. And she looked amazing; she was healthy, she didn't get fatigued easily, she could keep up with me. She looked so healthy and happy and she was absolutely brilliant. "Yeah," I smirked while lacing her slender fingers in mine. "But I'm the King." And I wondered how her finger would look with a ring.
