Phil and Denny reached the cave. They peered inside, "Denny, I think we might had better return everyone but Jes."
"Yea, Jes can light up the cave, too bad we now have to carry all the gear ourselves."
"Maybe... Hey, Blazer, you think you can carry Craig's pack for a while?" He nodded, "All right, everyone return! Jes, light it up," Jes' fur crackled with electricity lighting up the cave.
"Good, we can see without using up precious batteries."
"Yea, we better get moving though, it might be dark by the time we get through if we don't hurry."
"You're right, Phil, we have little time to lose."
They walked into the cave, and followed a slight path. They soon came to a more difficult part to cross. It was a two and a half foot wide crack. It had narrow ledges on both sides, but there was still a hole big enough to fall through.
"This is why few people take this path, but it leads to a spectacular hidden valley. However, the valley is only accessible in this way. We will leave in a different way, but that is a surprise. You need to be somewhat small, and if you are carrying gear then you must have certain Pokemon to help you, or it is even more difficult. We may have even needed to make multiple trips through. Here we have press our backs to the left wall and put our hands on the right. We stand on the right ledge. Blazer and Jes will have to stand split legged on the two ledges. If you don't like heights, don't look down."
"I am a little nervous about height above ground, but for some reason it doesn't effect me underground."
"Interesting, alright, Phil, you had better let Jes lead or we won't be able to see. Blazer has the best night vision so he should go in the back."
"Denny, you know what to look out for, so you go ahead of me and warn me if there is a hazard."
"You got it."
"Jes, lead on."
They climbed into the hole in their assigned order first Jes, then Denny, after him was Phil, and finally Blazer. They made it through the crack with only slight difficulty, and continued through the cave. They saw many beautiful displays. Massive pillars of rock, large ravines, massive caverns, stalagmites and stalactites. They saw many things of this beautiful nature. There were many strange and rare Pokemon dwelling inside they saw large Onix tunneling, floating Gastly and Misdreavus, and a couple Sableye passed them by. They also saw a pair of Wobbuffet staring each other down, a flock of Gligar clung to the roof, and a Torkoal was warming one cavern for a group of smaller Pokemon.
"Wow, it sure is beautiful in here isn't it Denny?"
"Why do you think I like it so much? Come on, we will come back later to meditate."
'Denusho sure has it right,' Horace thought to himself. 'These caves are among the most magnificent things I have ever seen. I am very lucky that they came this way, and showed me, even if unknowingly, this place.'
"Hey, Denny, how did I do in my battle earlier?"
"Phil, you were amazing, the confidence with which you ordered attacks, the bond between you and your Pokemon even though you have just met them is quite amazing."
'This is very true. I have rarely felt that confidence from such a trainer, one so early in his journey. I should expect it though, he is his grandfather's grandson.'
"Hey, Denny, what is this?" Phil asked pointing to a passage through the wall.
"I do not know. I have never seen it before. It may have opened recently."
