Phil woke once again to the smell of bacon. He emerged from his tent, and greeted Rachael. This time though, he was much wiser about trying to grab bacon.

Within the next thirty minutes everyone had woken up. Although, Denny had not learned from a couple days ago, and tried to grab a piece of bacon.

"Denny, you keep this up and you'll have a spatula tattoo on the back of your hand."

"Shut up."

"You had it coming."

"Play nice boys," Rachael joked.

She and Georgia then burst out laughing.

"I am going to miss having another girl around."

"So am I, but I am going to help remove some fossils from a mining site, I'll be taking the train across the mountains."

"Oh well, I am certain that we will meet up again."

"For sure."

The group soon broke camp and began their journey. If Denny's navigation was on point then they would reach Selvis by mid-afternoon.

"Phil, what is Selvis famous for again?" Rachael inquired.

"Well, the town is famous for its stone tower, which is slowly sinking, the Leaning Tower of Selvis. It is the hometown of many great trainers, and has earned the reputation of being a place of great strength."

"The tower is actually an ancient fortress of Aura Guardians.  The bell at the top, when rung by an Aura Guardian, can be heard by Aura Users throughout the region.  It is only tolled in times of extreme danger.  The lean is intentional, to discourage exploration by non-Aura users," Denny explained.

"Who goes to ring it?" Phil inquired.

"A small Aura village is nearby, Maho Mura.  They always have someone posted there.  Partially due to being so close to Selvis and constantly visiting it, they are among the less traditional villages."

"That's good," Phil replied.

"Why is that good?" Georgia asked.

"Many more traditional villages would disapprove of Rachael traveling by herself with two boys, especially without Anakin," Denny answered.

Phil literally growled at the statement.  Denny and Rachael became concerned, both knowing that they would have to pass through Rachael's home village when crossing through the mountains.  The two feared that their friend might end up doing something really stupid.

After breakfast, the group gathered their stuff together, and left the campsite.  Four humans, eighteen Pokemon, one unhatched egg.  Everyone, even the newest addition of Fred the Ferruli, was out and walking on their own feet.  Fred began to socialize, making quick friends with George, Blazer, and Edward, who in turn helped him get along with the rest.

Which, in George's mind, was constructing a prank.  It was a simple, but effective trap.  Fred ran ahead to run a small but sturdy vine across the road.  George held back, using his Psychic powers to construct a snare tie in it to snatch someone up by the foot.  Unfortunately for them, Georgia was the one caught in it.  Although she had a beautiful reaction, this same said reaction caused her Pokemon to chase the pranksters at top speed, George only just keeping them ahead by teleporting in short jumps.

By the evening, they had reached Selvis.  The Leaning Tower clearly visible even from the entrance to the town.  Since Georgia would be leaving in the morning, they decided to go to Oddish Garden to have a nicer dinner.  Although nice clothing was limited to whatever was still clean.  Phil had a nice Garlic Delibird Breast, Denny some seafood pasta, Rachael a Finneon Filet, and Georgia had the Tour of Campagna.  Although it was a Campagnian Cuisine Restaurant, Phil had been told the food was less authentic abroad.

Afterwards they went to see a movie.  It starred a young Pokemon trainer in the Kanto region that saw the legendary Pokemon Ho-oh, and then went on a quest to find it again and battle it.  The movie was quite good, although Georgia said she preferred the TV series.

As they were leaving the theater, a couple of big men came walking over, "Hey pretty ladies, wanna ditch these geeks?  You're so out of their league."

"And you even more so," Georgia replied.

"Ah come on," the second man said, "We could show you a much better time."

Rachael shuddered, "No, I think we'll stay."

"Who said you gotta choice?" the first man said as he snatched Rachael's Pokeballs.  He opened his mouth to issue a threat, but, Phil lost it.

He punched the man in the gut hard enough to make him leave the Pokeballs and his shoes behind.  The second man pulled a gun, but Phil moved so fast he was almost invisible, snatching the weapon and tossing it quite a ways away.  The second man's shoes also were soon missing their wearer.  Rachael came forward and put her hand on Phil's shoulder, trying to calm him.  Sirens sounded in the distance, someone inside must have called the police.

Once the authorities arrived they quickly escorted the men into a pair of ambulances.  No one else was allowed to leave until a couple hours later, when the police had questioned everyone and checked security footage.  After which, they released everyone and told them that the criminals would likely get at least fifteen years in prison each.

Exhausted by the surprisingly eventful evening, the group checked into a local hotel, and went to sleep.

A/N From today until the end of December I plan on posting a new chapter every day!  I call it the December Daily.  Although, some chapters may be a bit shorter, like this one.
