Phil woke to another street performer, this time, a guy with a Krookodile was doing some country rock.  Phil sang the words in his head.

'She does her best to hold him

When his love comes to call.'

Phil began to sing aloud, but did not realize it.

"But his need for it controls him

And her back's against the wall

And it's So long girl I'll see you

When it's time for him to go

You know the woman wants her cowboy

Like he wants his rodeo!"

'Phil, I was trying to sleep in.'

'Oh, get over it Jes.' Evie chimed in, 'I liked Phil's singing.'

'I didn't, I thought someone was dying,' Craig commented.

'Craig, it's this thing call rock, it's a kind of music that can be pretty loud,' Blazer replied.

'I think rock music is just a blooming load of Trubbish.'

'I've never heard it before, but I liked Phil's singing.  Was that rock?' Mary inquired.

"It kind of is, it is called country rock.  I am not sure of the difference, but I definitately prefer country rock to other kinds of rock.  Wait a second, Krookodile, rock music, Krookodile Rock.  Guys, I know what we need to cheer us up!"

'What?' Everyone asked in unison.

"A karaoke night!"

Later that night,

"Where are you taking us again?" Denny asked.

"A restuarant that should help to cheer us up."

"How is food going to cheer us up?" Racheal asked.

"You'll see."

Phil lead his companions into Tauros Traders.  They were seated, Phil ordered a twenty-one ounce T-bone, Denny a eighteen ounce Ribeye, and Racheal ordered a plate of Clauncher.  They all got a baked potato and corn-on-the-cob for their sides.  Phil was ten ounces in when a man came on the miniature stage in the front of the dining area.

"Welcome, tonight at Tauros Traders, we have karaoke night!  If you want to do karaoke, please line up against the wall to my left."

"Phil, what is karaoke?" Racheal asked in a whisper.

"You sing, but just sing, music is provided.  Also, the words usually play on a small screen in front of the person singing."

Phil then stood to get in line, and noticed that no one had gotten in line yet.  He walked up, confused.

"Ah, our ice-breaker tonight, what is your name?"

"Phil," Then in a whisper, "Play Krookodile Rock."

Phil walked to the middle of the stage, looked down and pulled his fedora down low.  He tapped his foot to the opening bars of music, before coming to life as he sang.

"I remember when rock was young

Me and Suzie had so much fun

Holding hands and skimming stones

Had an old gold Chevy and a place of my own

But the biggest kick I ever got

Was doing a thing called the Krookodile Rock

While the other kids were Rocking Round the Clock

We were hopping and bopping to the Krookodile Rock

Well Krookodile Rocking is something shocking

When your feet just can't keep still

I never knew me a better time and I guess I never will

Oh Lawdy mama those Friday nights

When Suzie wore her dresses tight

And the Krookodile Rocking was out of sight

La lalalala la lalalala la lalalala la

But the years went by and the rock just died

Suzie went and left us for some foreign guy

Long nights crying by the record machine

Dreaming of my Chevy and my old blue jeans

But they'll never kill the thrills we've got

Burning up to the Krookodile Rock

Learning fast as the weeks went past

We really thought the Krookodile Rock would last

Well Krookodile Rocking is something shocking

When your feet just can't keep still

I never knew me a better time and I guess I never will

Oh Lawdy mama those Friday nights

When Suzie wore her dresses tight

And the Krookodile Rocking was out of sight

La lalalala la lalalala la lalalala la

I remember when rock was young

Me and Suzie had so much fun

Holding hands and skimming stones

Had an old gold Chevy and a place of my own

But the biggest kick I ever got

Was doing a thing called the Krookodile Rock

While the other kids were Rocking Round the Clock

We were hopping and bopping to the Krookodile Rock

Well Krookodile Rocking is something shocking

When your feet just can't keep still

I never knew me a better time and I guess I never will

Oh Lawdy mama those Friday nights

When Suzie wore her dresses tight

And the Krookodile Rocking was out of sight

La lalalala la lalalala la lalalala la

La lalalala la lalalala la lalalala la

La lalalala la lalalala la lalalala la."

Phil then took his fedora in one hand and bowed, his coat flowing with the motion of his body.  He then recieved a large amount of applause from the crowd.

"I'll be here until I finish my meal!"

The auddience then laughed, and began to line the wall, eager to sing.

"Phil, that was great!"  Denny praised.

"I see what you mean now," Racheal said, smiling.

Phil smiled back, he was glad to see both Denny and Racheal smiling again.  The did karaoke long into the night, Phil sang again, doing the three songs, "Rocket Man", "Coward of the County", and "Unovian Pie".  Phil noticed that Racheal reacted to "Coward of the County" oddly.  He shrugged it off.  Denny, attempted, to sing "The Dance", and Racheal sang "Amazing Grace".

Phil sat there, enthralled by Racheal's beautiful voice.  She hit every note perfectly, with a perfect ring in her voice.  As he sat there, Phil smiled, glad that his plan had worked so well, and that he now knew not to ask Denny to sing.

"Racheal, that was beautiful!"

"Thanks, Phil."

The trio then returned to the hotel, and packed, for the next morning, they would leave Napole.
