Leah's POV
I sat behind the camera, preparing to film the next video. I hadn't realized how much she missed being there until now. We were getting ready to film the third version of the Try Not To Laugh Challenge, where the boys dressed up and had water in their mouths. Devan was getting a Spider-Man costume.....and Collins got the grapes. I would also be showing them the videos, and keeping track of how many times each of them spit out the water. Afterwards......Devan won, easily. We sat out on the patio, and she was leaning against him."It's such a beautiful night." He smiled, slipping his hand into mine.
"And you make it even more beautiful." He whispered, gently rubbing the back of hand with his thumb. I couldn't help the blush that grew."Stop. I'm not that pretty." He chuckled, leaning close and pressed his lips to the side of her head.
"I think you are." He whispered, and I blushed again. He gently slipped a silver ring into my fingers.
"Leah, I know we've been dating for a little while, but I want to make it official.....Will you be my girlfriend?" I took a deep breath, hardly able to breathe. For so long, I'd been treated like I didn't matter....that I was just a worthless, useless piece of junk. Now, Devan was asking me to be his girlfriend."Yes." I whispered, smiling. He slid the ring onto my finger, the biggest smile in the world on his face.
"So you doing ever forget it." He whispered, and I looked down at the ring. It had the word Priceless engraved in it, and I nearly burst into tears. He wouldn't be saying that after he found out what had been done to me. How that....that monster had treated me. He kissed my cheek, standing and going inside. I stared at my feet, smiling slightly. Maybe....maybe he really did care that much. He was almost 19, and I was almost 18. It was crazy, the fact that we were to college age. I went inside, getting on Amazon on my phone, quickly finding what I was looking for. It was a set of two necklaces, a lock in the shape of a heart, and a key that fit in the lock's hole. I quickly hurried down the stairs, finding Anne."Hey, Leah. What's up?" I sat down beside her, showing it to her.
"If I were to send you the link to this, would you be able to order it? I had an idea for a present for Devan." She smiled, looking at it and nodding.
"Of course. Would he get the key?" I chuckled, smiling.
"Yeah, he would. Thank you so much. And I can pay you back for it. And thank you so much for letting me stay." She smiled.
"It's not a problem. And we have loved being able to have you here. Devan seems a little happier since you've been here." I blushed slightly.
"Well, I can say I've been happier. And he asked me to officially be his girlfriend a little bit ago." She smiled, gently squeezing my hand.
"I'm glad he did. And I'm guessing you said yes?" I nodded, standing.
"I did. Thank you again. I'm going to head on up now. See you in the morning." She nodded.
"Alright. We're going to stop by the pharmacy and get a couple things. Sleep well." I waved, and headed up. Little did I know about the hilarious surprise I'd get the very next day.....discovering the boys prank on their parents.Hey! Happy Halloween! Just a warning....stuff about to go down in the next chapter....so sorry....love ya, tho! Please vote and comment! Thanks for reading!
