Leah's POV
I stared down at the little plastic stick, shocked, and my mouth dropped open. It had been four months since we'd lost Hannah, but things were doing better. I took a deep breath, my hand shaking, and I left the bathroom, finding Devan sprawled on the bed, watching the last video he'd done with Collins- a Wubble with Coke and Mentos. He looked up, and chuckled slightly.

"Hey. What's up?" I sat down beside him, and handed him the stick. He froze, and looked up at me.
"I......We're pregnant again, Devan." He smiled slightly, looking up at me.
"We....we're pregnant. We're going to be parents again." I smiled, and he kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and leaned against him after we pulled back.

"I can't believe this." He chuckled, wrapping his arms around me.
"So that one Saturday evening two months ago was productive." I sat back up straight, crossing my arms, and couldn't stop the heat that spread across my whole face in half a second.

"Devan!" He laughed, and I smiled, chuckling slightly.
"Okay, maybe it was. But don't you dare mention that to Collins. That would definitely end badly." His eyes widened, and he shook his head.
"Oh, gosh. That definitely would." Later that evening, we were heading over to have dinner with their parents, so I pulled one of my old maternity shirts out of a drawer, actually glad to be able to wear it again.

Devan couldn't help but laugh when he saw it, gently squeezing my hand

Devan couldn't help but laugh when he saw it, gently squeezing my hand.

"This one is definitely going to be trouble. Oh, and did Collins tell you his girlfriend is going to be there tonight?" I gave him a look, shaking my head.
"No. I didn't even know he had a girlfriend. Who is it?" He chuckled, and closed the door behind us.
"Her name is Riley Johnson." I froze, turning to him, startled.
"Riley Johnson? As in the Riley I've known for the past three and a half years?" He nodded, opening the car door for me, and I got in.
"One and the same." He went around, and got in his side. I buckled myself, and turned to him.

"Okay....Then why in the world did my best friend not think to mention the little detail that happens to be, oh, I don't know....she's dating my brother-in-law?!" He raised his hands slowly, eyes widened.
"I don't know. I just found out today. He's actually done a good job of keeping this a secret. Feel free to ask her tonight." I leaned back, and we pulled out.
"I think I might." A few minutes later, we arrived, and I smiled slightly, seeing Riley's car in the driveway. We headed inside, and she looked up, blushing.

"Hey, Leah." I pretended to glare at her, and crossed my arms.
"Okay, is there a reason you didn't tell me who you were dating?" She ducked her head slightly, eyes widening.
"I just.....I kinda forgot." My arms dropped, and I gave her a look.
"You forgot? How on earth did you forget to tell me that you're dating my brother-in-law?!" Her eyes were really wide now, so I moved over, hugging her.
"That's wonderful!!" I heard her breathe a sigh of relief, and she hugged me back. Then, Collins came downstairs, and Riley read my shirt, her jaw dropping.

"Wait....Does this mean that you're...." I took a deep breath, managing a smile and nodding as I sat down beside Devan.

"Yeah. There's another baby on the way."  She let out a quiet shriek, bouncing up and down, and I laughed. We heard a crash, and looked up to see Anne standing in the doorway, a metal pan on the floor at her feet.

"You're pregnant again?" She asked, and I nodded. She laughed, a hand going over her mouth, and then both hands were clasped over her chest.

"That's.....that's wonderful!" The family dinner kind of turned into a celebration about this new baby coming. As I sat on the couch, leaning against Devan, I thought about what had happened in the last few months. Despite the pain and heartache, I wouldn't trade it for the world. I loved this life.
