Leah's POV
I curled up on the couch of the little house Devan and I had just moved into. We were renting it from a close friend of Devan's parents, and they were very happy to let us live there. I sighed, looking down and gently rubbing my swollen stomach. I was now almost six months pregnant with our daughter, and it was definitely showing. I heard the front door open and close, and then heard Devan."Hey, baby. Where are you?" I chuckled, slowly standing.
"Well, the baby's in the same place she's been for six months, and will be for the next three. I'm in the living room." I called back, and he laughed, coming in.
"I thought Collins was supposed to be the corny one." I smiled, gently pecking him on the lips.
"Mm, well, I've been in some interesting moods, lately. And that's partly your fault." He chuckled, gently rubbing his hands on my stomach. The tank top I was wearing was another gift from Collins, who was really excited about having a niece in three months. (Picture up top). I felt another kick, and smiled. She was always moving, and the hardest part was when she started kicking at about 2 AM. Devan headed back into the kitchen, taking two Cokes out of the fridge and bringing them back."The coke might be why this little one is kicking so much. She's getting all the caffeine, and she's going crazy." He chuckled.
"But your shirt says that she's playing quidditch." I smiled, sitting back on the couch. He sat beside me, placing a hand on my stomach. I felt her stop kicking for a minute, and then she started kicking again. Devan smiled, and kissing my cheek."That's....that's amazing. It's almost crazy to think about, though. There's a little life inside you right now." I smiled, leaning against him.
"It's even weirder for me, though. She's kicking my stomach all the time. It almost feels like she's trying to pop a hole in me sometimes." He chuckled, gently rubbing circles on my back.
"She probably does want out. I'll bet it's really cramped in there." I laughed, and then the doorbell rang. I groaned, starting to get up. Devan put his hand on my leg, gently pushing me down, and he went to get it."Leah, it's Collins! Should I let him in?" I laughed, and took a sip of the coke.
"I guess. If he promises to behave." He laughed, and I heard Collins.
"Hey! When don't I behave?!" I chuckled, slowly standing up.
"Ehh, you tried to use a blowtorch on liquid metal while you were inside." He set the pizza boxes he had on the counter.
"That was just one time!" I chuckled, crossing my arms.
"You also boiled and basically blew up a iPhone, tried random girl stuff, put a shock collar on your arm....Need I continue?" He sighed, and the three of us sat down at the table.
"No, you don't. I get it." Devan chuckled, shaking his head, and then turned to Collins.
"You're not going to easily win an argument with her right now. Or, at all, for that matter." I turned to him slowly, glaring daggers at him. He looked at me, and his eyes widened, and then he looked away, nervous."Uhm.....Collins, do you want a Coke?" He nodded, keeping one eye on me.
"Yeah....Coke sounds good. Thanks." He went to get one, and came back with plates.
"Why is it hard to win an argument with me right now?" I asked, getting a piece of pepperoni pizza.
"Umm....Cause you're right?" I whacked him on the arm, and then took a bite. I chuckled inwardly as they looked at each other, and then back at their pizza.
"Okay.....well....Let's just eat now." Devan said, and I smirked.
"I think that would be good. You should put some pizza in your mouth before your foot goes any further in." Collins looked at his brother, eyes widening.
"Okay then." He muttered, and I whacked him as well.
"Thought you wanted to be able to eat. You'd better start soon, or you're not going to be able to at all." He nodded, quickly shoving a bite in his mouth. I smirked slightly, taking another bite. This could get kind of funny.
