I set on my bed thinking about what I wanted to do today when my door swings open. I cover myself with the blanket at the end of my bed.

"Hope you need to go to the mall right,"  Ryan asked stepping into my room

"Why?"

"Will you know I don't have my license because they were brutally taken away from me."

I smile at his chose of words

"Ryan you got your license took away because you don't know how to slow down plus you run a red light."

"Ok," he smiles "So I was a bad boy, what you say give your big brother a ride."

I roll my eyes at him

Ryan is my step-brother, though we're the same age his a month older than I am. His mom and my dad married when we were eight.  We didn't always get along like we do know, we use to fight over everything. It wasn't until recently that we had stopped being so aggressive toward each other. By aggressive, I mean biting, clawing, and hitting one another. Now when we fight it's usually over something stupid and we end up laughing at the end of it because it was so stupid.

"So what you say, baby."

"Get out and let me dress, and I'll take you."

I watch as he licks his lips

"Yes ma'am," he says stepping out

Rolling my eyes again I get up going to over to my closet. I pull my tank top off grabbing a pink sun dress from its hanger and tugging it on then go to my dresser. Grabbing a pair of pink thongs, I wiggle out of the ones I wore last night and pull them on in under my dress. I take a look at myself in the floor-length mirror that is in my closet. I smile then slip into some tan wedge sandals. Grabbing my brush I run it through my long blond hair a couple of times leaving it down. Then giving reflection one more smile I step out of the closet and head downstairs. Ryan waits for me at the bottom of the steps. He looks up at me as I start down and I see as his eyes travel my body.

"Ready?" he asks

"Yeah."

"Mom" he calls out

"Yeah" Maggie yells back

"Hope's taking me to the mall."

"Alright, you two be careful."

"Will do" I shout out

Ryan starts out, and I head out behind him. I climb into the driver seat as he makes himself comfortable in the passenger seat. We start out toward the mall. It's a quite ride, neither one of us says a word. Even when we pulled into the parking lot and got out neither one of us said a word. Ryan leads us into a Rado Shack, while he looks through some CDs I play with the ones that are on the spiny shelf thing.

"You ready?" Ryan asks stepping beside me

"Yeah, I want to stop my J.C Pennys," I tell him

He nods, then I follow him as he leads me to J.C Pennys. I pick out a couple of dresses then head for the dressing room. Ryan doesn't complain he just leans against the doorway waiting for me.

I slip into a small room and strip out of my pink dress, pulling on a little blue dress that's sleeveless. But once I have it on, I can't reach the zipper. Try as I may I can't get to it; I stick my head out the door, and Ryan raises a brow.

"Ryan, come help me," I tell him

He pushes off the wall coming toward me

"What you need?" he asks as he gets right there at me
