Chapter Fifteen - My Speechless Day
I woke up and the sun came in through the window and lit the room up. I looked to my left, Jamie wasn't there. I felt my neck. It felt smooth and didn't hurt. I got up and went to the mirror on the wall.
The cut was gone. But what happened? Jamie. I forgot he can heal.
I heard the door open and looked over.
"I thought I heard you get up." Jamie said.
I didn't say anything.
"Noticed your cut was gone?"
I nodded.
He came over and moved my face to the side looking at my neck. "It looks fine." He said then let go of me. "Go take a shower, okay? Sophia will have breakfast done."
I feel like a little girl being told what to do and being fed by her father and mother. Kind of freaky if you think about it.
I nodded and did as I was told.
After I took a long hot shower and got dressed all in black then went downstairs.
"Don't you look cute." Sophia said when I went in the kitchen.
I was wearing the black short sleeve shirt with the star in the corner and I wore black long shorts with pockets on the side with a pair of black flip flops.
"I'm guessing you picked those out, right Sophia?" Blake said.
"Of course, and I'm glad I did."
I looked at Blake. He wore all black and the only thing that really stuck out was his neon green highlights. I sat down on the stool in front of the counter. Jamie came in and grabbed his keys on the counter.
"I'm going to the store I'll be back." Jamie said.
I opened my mouth about to say something. Jamie stopped and looked at me. I closed my mouth. I couldn't find the right words to say anything.
"Did you want to come?" He asked me.
I nodded.
"Come on." He said.
I got off the stool and walked up to him.
"We'll be back later." Jamie said.
We walked out of the kitchen.
"Get her something to eat while you're out!" Sophia yelled.
"K." He yelled back.
"Does that mean I can have her breakfast?" I heard Blake ask.
"No, I'm saving it." Sophia said.
"Saving it for what?"
Jamie and I went outside and I couldn't hear the rest of their argument. I looked around outside. We really were in the middle of nowhere. Just grass and a road for miles.
"You coming?" Jamie asked while having the passenger door open.
I nodded again and got in the car. I watched the trees in the background pass us when Jamie drove. It was a very pleasant day out. I thought I'd never come back to the hot weather, but I never imagined it would be this way.
A little later Jamie pulled in the parking lot of the grocery store. He had to park the farthest away from the door because all the spots were taken. The means it's going to be crowded in the store. Jamie and I got out of the car. He waited for me to get around the car and then we started walking to the entrance.
"We have to grab a couple of things here and then to the mall after." Jamie said.
I opened my mouth and closed it back up.
