Camila sat in front of the mirror slowly brushing her hair and Clara walked into her room smiling at Camila who was busy humming to herself.
"Hai!!" Camila waved energetically turning back to Clara who laughed and waved back.
"Sinu will be late to pick you up, mija." Clara walked towards the mirror taking the brush into her hand and brushed Camila's hair.
"It's okay!!" Camila giggled scrunching up her nose. Clara felt her heart drowning in guilt when she heard that sound. Camila spends most of her time at their house and Clara knew Sinu won't be home until the next day.
Camila had never felt the warmth of a mother's embrace or the love of her father and the thought of a little Camila walking around in an empty house made Clara's heart clench.
"Camila, do you miss your parents?" Clara knelt down to look into the child's eyes.
There was a small speck of sadness but Camila shook her head smiling "No! I have lolo and you! I am not alone." Camila lunged to hug Clara tight and Clara couldn't help but kiss the 10 year old on the cheek.
"What is this?" Camila gasped pulling away from the hug with her palm running her cheek.
"It's called a kiss and you kiss someone if you care for them." Clara tugged Camila's nose gently which made them both erupt into laughter.
"I want to kiss lolo!!" Camila giggled making a pouting face at Clara.
Clara smiled at the innocent little girl in front of her. Lauren and Camila had something so beautiful that even Clara couldn't deny."I'll kiss her at our wedding!!" Camila giggled and turned towards the mirror fixing her hair. She put a small white napkin over her head to resemble that of a veil.
"we can have lots of ice creams at our wedding! With lots of chocolates and chips!" Camila got out of the seat giggling and took Clara's hand.
"And we could dance all day!!" Camila dragged Clara around the room trying hard to twirl her around but failed. Clara lifted Camila in her arms circling around the room.
The room echoed of their laughter and it's a memory Clara would never forget.
Lauren's POV
"...and then she just blocked me, mom why is she doing this to me? Wh- hy-hh-y?" I said through my tears. I dropped on my knees and let the tears flow out.
I felt soft warm hands holding my face up. My mom looked at me with sympathy. "Look honey, you two had something special. I knew that from the beginning. Don't let this get the best of you. Don't let her do this to the two of you." She said. I looked at her surprised.
"You think we have something special?" I smiled.
"Oh Lauren, you have no idea. Everything the two of you did together told me you had something special." My mom said smiled looking into my eyes reassuring me with a silent nod.
"Don't cry honey. I'm sure you can think of a way to convince her to change her mind." she wiped my tears kissing me gently on my forehead.
"I'll try." I whispered and then I felt something spark inside me.
