Far far away

Chapter 23

"Girlfriend, huh? I like the sound of it." I said with a huge smile on my face.

She looked at me with those beautiful chocolate brown eyes and showed me the brightest smile. She reached out for my hand and it fit perfectly in mine.

"It sounds better when it's you who is saying it" she replied as she rested her head onto my shoulders. We were in an old park near her house.

"Can you stop time for me?" I stroked her hair as we lay down under the willow tree. She giggled and waved her arms in from of my eyes. "Whoosh!" She made an funny sound.

"Thank you, Marty Mcfly" I pinched her cheeks playfully. She giggled and interlaced our pinkies together. It was dark and the stars were shining bright than diamonds.

Suddenly I spotted a shooting star as it moved quickly across the sky.

"look camz!" I sat up abruptly. "A shooting star!! Make a wish!". I closed my eyes and crossed my pinky.

Before wishing I opened my eyes to get a peak of Camila who was watching the star floating across the sky. She smiled and raised her hands trying to grab it into her little fist. She held her fist close and turned towards me. I quickly closed my eyes and acted like I was in a deep thought.

"Lolo I have something for you!" I opened my eyes to meet with her blinding smile.

It gleamed brighter than the diamonds in the sky and I realised she was my own little star.

She held her fist out and I  enclosed my fingers around it. "It's the star! I caught it for you!" I smiled and I felt her open her fist. I quickly acted like I was grabbing what it contained and gasped. "It's burning my hand" and she laughed at my expression.

"If you could feel how the stars inside me burn for you. Every time I look at you I feel them, I feel something stirring inside of me... And just when I thought I'd drown everyone with my clouds.  You stood onto your tip toes and reached up to my stormy sky to give me stars. You touched me and I suddenly became a starry night."

I felt my heart skip beats when I heard her raspy voice break in the end of the sentence. I pulled her close for a peck on her forehead and she slipped her arms around me.

I felt her phone vibrate inbetween us and she laughed when she saw the message that popped up.

"I have a ride for yo gurl. Cuban asses assemble outside my house." she read it out loud and I laughed when she flipped her hair pouting to imitate Dinah.

"Time to go!" I stood up from the grass and brushed my behind to get rid of all the dead grass.

"Pull me up." she pouted and reached her hands towards me.  "you've been my girlfriend for less than a day and you are already demanding." I show a hurt expression and pulled her up.

"face it, you love me." she slurred as she acted like she was losing her balance. I quickly grabbed her waist to stop her from falling.

"That I do." I chirped and stuck my tongue at her. She scrunched up her nose in an adorable way and quickly gave me a peck on my lips.

"Lolo when you leave today and then what happens to us?" She rested her head on my shoulders as we walked towards her house.

When I heard the question slip from her mouth I felt my heart beat quicken. We live so far away will this even work? When will we even see again?

"We'll figure something out." I kissed her forehead gently as the streetlights flickered along the dim road.

"As long as I have you." Camila sighed and I tightened my grip around her waist to reassure her.
