It is the next day.
March 1st.

Lauren's POV

It was the first of March and a couple of days before Camila's 18th birthday and I had just the right gift for her.
I packed my backpack with a couple of sweatpants and snacks for a couple of days. I walked down my stairs dressed up in black ripped jeans and a plain black full sleeve rolled up to my elbows.

I left a note for my parents saying I'm going for a softball tournament for a couple days and sneaked out of my house with the key to my black Camaro.

"Where do you think you're going, Lauren Michelle Jauregui?" I heard a voice from behind and I stopped immediately.

"Shiiittt" I cussed turning my head around expecting to see my mom standing there with a gun to just shoot me.

Instead I saw Normani waiting for me at the garage door with her books looking all shocked.

"What are you doing here?! It's 11pm!!" I groaned and threw my bag down pointing my watch at her.

"I wanted some help with my project." she stormed towards me raising the books to my face.

"Who the hell would study during weekends?!" I laughed at her which made her send a glare. "Okay, I'll clear your doubts later when I come back which won't be anytime soon." I turned around to head towards the car again.

"WAIT!" Normani ran towards me still holding her books.

"Where are you going?" She asked panting hard.

"I'm going for a softball competition." I leaned to open my car's door but she pushed me.

"Ahw come on Mani, I'm gonna be late!!" I groaned.

"Hold up, babe Ruth! I am in your softball team genius! There isn't any softball competition!" She smirked and I gulped. I might have forgotten to change that lie.

"You're going to see her!" Normani gasped dropping her books. I quickly felt the blush rushing to my face.

"I-I" I stammered to complete my sentence.

"I'M COMING(😏)." Normani interrupted me before grabbing her books from the ground.

"Mani!! No!!" I whispered-yelled. "This is something I need to do with Camila all alone."

"Don't worry I won't make a sound." she whispered before taking my keys to unlock the car.

"Get in loser." she made a silly face before getting into the passenger side of the car.

I sighed when I heard Beyoncé's "7/11" blaring on the radio.

"Turn that crap down!!" I heard my neighbour yelling from his house. SHIT!! I ran and got into the car driving away from the sidewalk.

"BEYONCÉ IS NOT CRAP, YOU UGLY OLD CREEP!!" Normani lowered the window and yelled out.

"MANI SHUT UP!" I giggled while I turned the volume down.

"DID I TELL YOU TO LOWER THE VOLUME?!" Normani raised her voice.

"Jeez!! I'm trying to sleep here."

I heard a deep voice from behind. Normani and I exchanged horrifying looks. I stopped my car immediately and I heard a groan from.

"I know that voice." Normani and I exclaimed before turning behind.

"CHRIS!?!"

"Hey ladies!" He waved his hands in the air but yawned right after.

"GET OUT!" I lunged towards the backseat to grab him. But he quickly slipped away from my grip.
