"What about this?" Connor asked.
I looked up to see him holding an ugly green mug. I cringed just at the sight of it.
"I'll take that as a no," he stated.
A few minutes later, he showed up with a can of Arizona iced tea.
"Connor, Trevor just got a record deal. Do you really think that a can of iced tea will be a suitable gift?"
Connor rolled his eyes and ran off again.
I chuckled. Buying a gift for Trevor is harder than I thought. I had absolutely no clue on what we should get.
"Delilah! Delilah! Delilah! Delilah!"
I rolled my eyes at turned around to face Connor. "Yes, Connor?"
"What about this? it's perfect!"
Connor was holding up a lampshade.
"What the actual hell, Connor? What is Trevor going to do with a lampshade?"
"He can reenact that one episode of Spongebob, duh."
"Connor, can we please be serious?"
"Yeah okay. I'm sorry."
"Sorry for being so uptight."
"No, no you're fine. What do you think he'd want?"
"I have no idea honestly," I sighed.
"What about cake? Cake is very nice."
I shrugged. "I'm pretty sure there will be cake since he's having a celebration party."
"You can never have too much cake."
"Okay sure. Why not?"

Connor and I were standing on Trevor's doorstep waiting for him to answer the door. After a minute or two, he finally answered.
"Hey guys!" Trevor shouted and pulled us in. "Welcome to the party, which really isn't much of a party."
"We brought cake, so that makes it a party," Connor replied.
"Oh my gosh, great! My brother was being a jerk and ate almost half of the cake we had."
Trevor's mom walked over to us with a big smile. "Connor, Delilah, it's great to see you both."
"You too," Connor and I said in unison.
"Oh, I'll take that, sweetie," she said as she took the cake out of Connor's hands. "Thanks for bringing this! Half of our cake mysteriously disappeared." She turned to glare at Blake. "Well I'm going to put this in the kitchen." Then she disappeared into the kitchen.
"See, Delilah? I told you it was the perfect thing to bring!" Connor exclaimed.
I rolled my eyes. "Trevor, your mom is so nice."
"So is yours! She literally tackles me with hugs every time I come over."
I chuckled. "So who's here?"
"Most of my family and the o2l guys," Trevor replied.
"Where are the o2l guys?"
"I think they're outside. Let's go," Trevor said and he wrapped his arm around me.
Connor trailed behind us awkwardly as we went outside.
"Hey losers, Connor and Delilah are here!" Trevor shouted.
All of the guys turned around and ran over to us.
"It's about damn time you're here," Jc said.
