Hey guys! I'm FINALLY posting a new chapter. It's about time, right?

Recap:
Once Trevor was finally out of sight, I was able to breathe properly again. I was about halfway home when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pulled it out to check the caller. Trenton's name was flashing across the screen. I wasn't sure what to do. After mentally debating with myself, I finally decided to answer.
~*~
Two months have passed since the picnic in the park with Trevor. Trenton and I have been hanging out more and more over the past two months. It seemed as if we were destined to be best friends. Connor finally got over the fact that Trenton and I were friends. Emphasis on the word "friends".
As for Trevor and I, it seemed as if we have been drifting farther and farther apart. We weren't broken quite yet. I'd just call Trevor and I bent at the moment. He hasn't been spending much time with me lately. In fact, we haven't hung out in over three whole weeks.
Breaking me from my thoughts, my phone rang. I picked it up and noticed that Trenton was calling me. I smiled to myself and answered.
"Hey Trent. To what do I owe this pleasure?"
"Delilah," he replied nonchalantly. "Do you have any plans on this lovely day? Specifically, any plans with the boyfriend?"
"No. I'm free."
"You and him don't seem like you spend much time together."
"I'd rather not discuss my love life with you," I snapped.
"Please. It isn't much of a love life considering you guys never spend any time together," Trenton said in response.
Trent honestly had a decent point.
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever."
"Well, Delilah, get ready. We're going to hang out."
I sighed. "Fine."
"I'll pick you up in an hour."
"Don't you mean your mom will pick me up?" I retorted.
He laughed gently. "Oh, Delilah. Don't underestimate the power of the Trenton-ator. I got my license yesterday and my mom is lending me her car."
"I keep forgetting you're sixteen."
"Bye," he said cheerfully.
The phone cut off, signifying that he hung up.
~*~
The doorbell rang.
"Mom! Trent's here!" I shouted from the bottom of the stairs.
My mom descended the stairs unenthusiastically. She exhaled loudly.
"When are you going to hang out with Trevor again?"
"When he stops being a jerk."
Mom gasped. "Don't talk about Trevor like that. I like Trevor. I like him a lot more than that Trenton guy."
I rolled my eyes at my mom and opened the door. Trent stood on the porch cooly, leaning against the railing. I smiled at him and my mom just gave him a blank expression.
"Hey," Trent said.
"Hi," I said back with a smile.
"Hello, Trenton," my mother told him.
"Hey, ma'am."
"Are you ready to go?" I asked Trent.
He nodded.
"Remember Trenton, she has a boyfriend. No funny business," my mom said sternly.
Trent nodded. "Of course not."
Trent and I began walking toward his car.
"And Trent?" my mother said, causing us both to turn around.
"Yeah?"
"Be careful with my daughter."
"Mom," I whined. "Only I get to call him Trent. It's kinda my own personal nickname for him."
My mom gave me an annoyed look. "Okay bye Delilah. Bye, Trenton."
Trent and I quickly made our way to the car and he started the car and immediately began driving. He was surprisingly a really good driver.
"What do you have in store for me today, my good friend, Trent?" I asked, about five minutes into the drive.
"Well my good friend, Delilah, we will be going to eat pizza and then I will buy you the frozen yogurt of your choice."
"You're buying me food?" I asked.
"Of course."
I dramatically put my hand over my heart. "You know me so well," I replied.
He merely laughed in response.
~*~
"So how are things going with that Tyler guy?" Trent asked before taking a giant bite of his pizza.
I glared at him. "His name is Trevor and you know it," I snapped rudely, but instantly regretted it.
Trent looked down with a sad expression on his face. "I'm sorry. That was rude of me."
"No, Trent. I'm sorry. It's just...things aren't going so great with Trevor and I and I just... take it out on others sometimes."
Trent nodded. "So he never spends time with you anymore, huh?"
I shook my head. "He never has time to."
"Bullshit!" Trent shouted. "If he really loved you, he would make time for you."
"I wish it were that simple."
"It is that simple."
I shrugged.
"It is!" Trent exclaimed.
"I guess."
Trent lowered his voice down. "Trevor needs to realize that he's a very lucky guy. If I were in his place, I'd do everything I could to be able to see you."
I smiled. "Yeah, but you're not in his place."
"It'd be nice if I was. Honestly, if I were him, I'd do anything in my power to make you happy."
"Aww well thank you. That actually means a lot."
"No need to thank me. You just deserve so much more than him."
"No stop it," I replied.
"It's just...you're putting twice as much effort into this relationship as he is."
"Okay, Trent. Seriously stop. I really don't feel comfortable discussing this, okay?"
He sighed. "Okay, fine."
We finished our pizza in awkward silence. It was awkward talking about Trevor to Trent. Trent was a good friend and all, but... I just didn't feel comfortable talking about Trevor to him. I wasn't sure how I felt about Trent. Did I like him just as a friend or did I like him more than that? Trent has always been here for me. He was here for me whenever Trevor wasn't.
"What are you thinking about?" Trent asked.
I shrugged. "Nothing in particular."
"You're such a liar," he said. "Do you know that?"
I laughed nervously. "What? No!"
"You were probably thinking about how hot I look today," he said while flipping his hair.
I jokingly stuck my tongue out at him.
"You wish."
"Why yes, yes I do."
