Recap:
We finished our pizza in awkward silence. It was awkward talking about Trevor to Trent. Trent was a good friend and all, but... I just didn't feel comfortable talking about Trevor to him. I wasn't sure how I felt about Trent. Did I like him just as a friend or did I like him more than that? Trent has always been here for me. He was here for me whenever Trevor wasn't.
"What are you thinking about?" Trent asked.
I shrugged. "Nothing in particular."
"You're such a liar," he said. "Do you know that?"
I laughed nervously. "What? No!"
"You were probably thinking about how hot I look today," he said while flipping his hair.
I jokingly stuck my tongue out at him.
"You wish."
"Why yes, yes I do."

Trent and I were pulling up outside the front of my house.
"Well, Delilah. It's been fun," he told me.
"Do you... wanna come in for a bit?"
"Why not?"
Trent and I got out of the car and walked slowly toward my house. I let us in and he followed me upstairs to my room.
"Your room looks exactly how I imagined it to look," Trent stated, as he sat on the bed.
I sat beside him and raised an eyebrow. "You were imagining what my room looked like?"
Trent jumped startled, realizing his mistake. "Oh well...um... I mean if I did imagine your room, I'd probably imagine it looking like this," he corrected.
"Nice save," I replied sarcastically.
He merely smirked at me in response, causing me to roll my eyes.
"You're a dork."
He shrugged. "I know."
He smirked at me and scooted closer to me. He was so close that our noses were about an inch apart.
"Do you like dorks?" he asked.
I shrugged. "I guess. Trevor is pretty dorky."
"I can be as dorky as you want," he said with a wink.
"Good to know," I replied.
Suddenly a serious look washed upon his face. His eyes met mine and I began to feel concerned.
"What?" I asked.
"Why are you even with Trevor still?"
My eyes widened. His question completely took me off guard.
"Um...I don't even know anymore. I mean, I keep hoping things will change, but they never do."
"If he cared about you, he wouldn't keep you waiting like this!" Trent shouted.
"Don't yell at me!"
Trent's face softened when he realized what he was doing.
"Oh, god. I'm sorry, Delilah. I shouldn't have been shouting like that."
I sighed. "It's okay."
"All I'm saying is that you shouldn't just settle for Trevor because you think he's going to start coming around again."
I raised an eyebrow. "I shouldn't?"
"No! I mean, if an opportunity to find someone better presented itself, I don't think you should spend the entire time waiting on Trevor to come and save you."
