Mabel's Pov
After a whole day for me to think about my extra activity, I made my final decision to join the dancing class. Who knows? Maybe I can make some new friends who share the same hobby as me or I may even meet my super hot prince charming. Since none of my friends are joining the same class as me, I guess I'm alone. I told Alyson that she didn't need to bring me to my class because she was running late for her own class. I immediately regretted telling her that when I got lost finding the classroom.
"Hey Mabel! Where are you going? You seemed lost." Just my luck, it's Jennifer. I'm really desperate right now so I don't really care who it is, as long as I can get to my class in time.
" I'm late for the modern dancing extracurricular. Do you happen to know where it is?"
"What a coincidence! I'm in modern dancing too. Come on, we are not that late yet. Besides you not lost, the classroom is just around the corner." She said happily while flipping her hair.
Once we got into class, everyone is busy warming up and dressed properly for class. Well everyone except for me, I should have known the dress code before I join this class. Damn it, it's not like this is my first time joining a dancing class, now I'm just going to make a fool of myself.
"You okay there? You look like your super unprepared. Don't worry I think you will be a good dancer, not as good as me but still good."
I shaked my head at what Jennifer said. " That's the least of my worries now. The thing I worry about most now is that I don't have any proper attire for this class. I can't dance in these." I motioned my hands up and down my body to show her what I am wearing.
"Lol. I don't think you have to worry about that. I have like three more outfits in my locker. You look about the same size as me. I'm sure we can work something out." Jennifer said. Then, she grabbed my hand and dragged me to another room.
"So, this is the changing room. That's the showers while those are the lockers. The guy's changing rooms are on the other side of the room." She stopped in front of her locker to open it. "Here, I think this colour matches you." She handed me a set of light blue sportswear suitable for dancing.
"Thank you. Do I get to have my own locker too?" I took the clothes and went into one of the changing rooms to change. I tied my hair into a high ponytail to avoid it disturbing me later.
"Yeap. You can choose any of those to put your stuff in. Let's go I haven't finish giving you a tour of our class yet."
At the back of the classroom was a rack filled with photos and awards won by the students here. The latest one was won by Jennifer and her team last year in the states competition. She wasn't kidding when she said she was good, I don't think I have ever won any competition, I'm nothing compared to her. With a sighed I went to the side to stretch myself, halfway trough I was disturbed by a group of girls giggling while shamelessly flirting with one guy at the corner. The guy looks really hot, too bad his a flirt which I really dislike, plus with the looks of that he is obviously one of the school's bad boy.
I rolled my eyes at them and continued to stretch myself, finishing just in time before the teacher came in. "Hello everybody! Welcome to modern dancing! My name is Emily. I am your teacher for the year along with Liam over here. This year, we will be breaking our old traditions of hip hop and break dancing to a more traditional dancing which involves waltzing. Don't worries we will get back to hip hope and break dance soon."
Waltzing?! That's not what I expected at all. Isn't it supposed to be modern dancing? Is waltzing even count as modern dancing? I am so dead. I have no idea on how to waltz. Judging on the rest of the classes face, they look shocked and worried too which includes Jennifer. I'm guessing none of us here has every tried waltzing, maybe I'm not so dead after all.
