Chapter 12 - Don't touch me

Mabel's Pov

"Hey sis, are you free tonight? Tyler asked me out and well he said I can bring anybody else with me." Jade asked me nervously.

"And what does Tyler asking you out have anything to do with me? I really don't want to be the third wheel you know" I laughed.

"Because if I won't go if you won't go. It's way too awkward if it's only me and him. People will obviously get the wrong idea, not to mention that I'm shy. I don't even know how to start a conversation with him! How do you expect me to go out to have dinner with him? It's a recipe for disaster."

"I don't see any problem with that. Tyler asked you out not me, so my answer would be no. Have fun though!" I gave her a sly smile.

"Please? For the sake of your sister?" Jade tried her best to give me the puppy eyes, cupping her hands together with a pout.

"No. It's just dinner Jade don't over think about it."

"Okay...... I'm just going to tell him that I can't go." She said already texting on her phone.

"Wait" I covered her phone with my right palm "Are you really going to let him down? It takes a lot of courage for somebody to ask a person out. Take my advice, go and don't disappoint him."

"No I won't go if you won't go. I don't want to make a fool of myself." Sometimes I can't take Jade and her stubbornness.

"Fine!" I yelled down the hall. I give up. They really should give an award for best sister of the year...... "But I am not sitting anywhere near you love birds!"

"Really? Thank you sis!" I smiled shaking my head at her. I think Jade has already found her perfect boyfriend that she has always been looking for. Let's just hope that he is not an asshole of a jerk like her previous crush.

"What are you doing here?" I questioned Dylan, surprised to see that he is also here with Tyler. I thought that Tyler only invited Jade and I'm the poor sister who got dragged along for the sake of her sister's happiness. I gave Jade a death glare, if she knew anything about this and planned with them to set me up with him, she is dead the moment we step out of this restaurant. Jade look back at me just as confuse as I am shrugging her shoulders, telling me that she doesn't know about this arrangement.

"Following my buddy, Tyler here on his date. It's his first one, don't want him to screw it up" Tyler punched Dylan right in his stomach to silence him from embarrassing him any further. " You here is just a bonus" He somehow manage to ignore the pain and winked at me, a big fat grin on his face.

I rolled my eyes at him, he really doesn't get the point of I am not interested in him does he? "Yea yea, whatever I don't care. If you excuse me I'll be at the table way wayyy over there" I stretched the last way on purpose hoping he gets the hint that I want to be far far away from him.

I was going to call Jade to follow me, I would rather sit with them than with Dylan. Too late...... Jade already found us a table for four and motioned me to come over. Dylan beating her to it has already grabbed my wrist pulling me over there before I can say no.

"Say a word and I'm leaving" I blackmailed her, breaking the smirk on her face.

Dinner didn't turn out as bad as I thought. Jade and Tyler kept quiet the whole time enjoying their food, Dylan though was telling us almost everything that we have miss in the three years of high school that we have miss. Turns out that the rumors are true that Tyler hasn't dated a single girl at high school, the last one that tried to confess to him ended up changing schools because of his rejection. Tyler finally talked after he finished his food and told us more humiliating things about Dylan, I found out that none of his relationship ever last more than 3 months. Typical player personality.
