Mabel's Pov
It was obvious that Jade was in a bad mood for the whole day. For Tyler's and my stupid sister's sake, I really hope that whatever he's planning is good enough to lift her mood. Even if he fail's I don't plan on letting them not be a couple. I'll even turn into cupid if needed to pair those idiots together. Meanwhile I still have problems on my own.
Dylan.
Speaking of the devil. I'm currently going to have chemistry with him now.
How am I going to face him? Will a simple hello or hey do it? Is he going to ignore me? Should I ignore him back and pretend that he doesn't exist?
Why am I even asking these questions? His a jerk. Of course I should ignore him. That's been my plan since the first time I met him. Don't stray away from the plan Mabel. You know how messy it will get. He is a known heartbreaker. You know that better than anyone not to get close to them.
"Hey." I said to him in an effort to keep things civil between us. There. Let's just hope he won't read in to that too much.
Lucky me or unlucky me, he chose not to answer me at all. He was busy studying and writing down notes. Fine by me if it means that I don't need to tolerate his annoying voice and endless attempts of flirting.
"Alright class. Today we will be doing an experiment on chemical reactions. You are required to work with your partner and come out with any experiment related to chemical reactions. To make it a little more interesting, the best experiment gets extra credit. You all have 35 minutes and your time starts, now." Just when I thought that everything was fine. Great. Now I am forced to have a conversation with him to work together again.
I plastered up a smiled and took a deep breath. I can do this. "So what are we –"
"I'll do the experiment and write the report. You can stay here and look pretty." He said impassively without looking at me. Not to mention that he cut me off rudely. And what does he mean by stay here and look pretty?
"I'm sorry. What did you say?" I stressed on the what.
"I said I'll do the experiment and write the report. You don't have to do anything. You can stay here and look pretty but act like you're doing something okay? It's suppose to be a lab partner work."
Right. This day just gets better and better. "I get the front part baby Einstein." I'm starting to get pissed. "What I meant is why are you doing everything and I'm doing nothing. You said it yourself that it's a pair work. Shouldn't I be doing something?"
"Come on Mabel. We both know how bad you are in chemistry." Choosing to continue writing his notes than looking at me he answered. Hurtfully too may I add.
This is as much as I can take. I don't know what his problem but either way what he said really got to me. Slamming his textbook and stupid notes close. I forced his attention to me. "So right now you're doubting my ability in chemistry?"
I was expecting him to apologize but what he said really hurt me. "You do want us to get an A don't you?" And when I didn't answer he continued. "That's what I thought. So let me do all the work and get us that A. If we are lucky, which I know we are. We may even get that extra credit."
Extra credit and A does sound tempting and I do need that to help keep up my grades but why does he care about extra credit anyway, it's not like he needs it. I don't care. I'm holding my ground, he can't d do all the work.
"No. No way am I letting you do this all alone. I want to be involve in this too." Although...... "What are we doing and what should I do?" I tried to sound as innocent and sweetly as possible compared to my tiger like attitude a few minutes ago.
