Listen to the song when you get to the part ;)

Jade's Pov

"Ladies and Gentleman! Let us welcome Jade Lawrence and Tyler Henderson to come and perform a song!"

I froze when I heard that from Dylan and by the looks of it Tyler was stunned too. The crowd went wild, someone even pushed both me and Tyler to the centre of the 'stage' and handed us the microphone. High School Musical moment much? I tried to find the best way to ditch the microphone and make a run for it but Tyler didn't look like he seemed bother by the fact that he needs to be on stage with me, gently holding my hand and gave me a supporting smile. That was more than enough for me to aboard the plan. I couldn't ditch him now and make him look like a fool. I can't let him down.

"Woke up on the right side of the bed. What's up with the prince song inside my head. Hands up if you're down to get down tonight. Cause it's always a good time......" Tyler continued singing to the song while I slowly move myself with the rhythm. Who knew he would be a good singer?

When it was my turn he lightly nudge me to get my attention, giving me a big supportive grin. Taking a deep breath, I smiled back. Here goes nothing... "Good morning and good night. I wake up at twilight...."

Then he joined me "It's gonna be alright. We don't even have to try. It's always a good time."

At this time we both were already singing and dancing to the music. "Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh It's always a goog time."

Tyler spun me a few times halfway through the song, even doing a few moves himself. Soon everybody in the room was singing along and joining in the dance. "Doesn't matter when. It's always a good time then."

He slowly dance towards me when he sang his part and I did the same. "Doesn't matter where. It's always a good time there."

"Doesn't matter when. It's always a good time then."

"Its always a good time!" Screamed the crowd. At this moment I couldn't be any happier. It was like all of my worries are gone; tonight I wasn't the shy outcast that feels like she doesn't belong in anywhere. Tonight I was somebody else, I was Jade Lawrence who knew how to have fun and enjoy herself.

At the last few lines, we both have our backs facing each other. Slowly line by line, we took a few steps back and manage to face each other just when the last line was sang. "We don't even have to try, it's always a good time." Both of us were panting heavily, trying to catch our breaths. However he didn't make the effort to back away. "That was amazing. You were amazing Jade."

Blushing I wanted to tell him that he was amazing too. "Okay! That was a decent performance. My turn! My turn!" Until a certain Barbie came up with her high pitch voice, demanding that she wants to sing next with Tyler. "Tyler what song would you like to sing? How about Love story?"

Good things never does last long. This memory tonight was enough for me. At least after a long time, I finally had fun. I handed the mic to Dylan, pushing myself out of the packed room. From the corner of my eyes, I saw that Mia was looking at me with a smug smile on her face. Tyler on the other hand was ignoring the fact that I was leaving. I know I shouldn't care about him yet somehow it hurts me.

I needed a good distraction. At this time, getting drunk seems to be the best idea. The bar was filled with a group of football jocks that were doing shots. "Care to join us newbie? We won't bite." One of them stood up with a big smirk on his face, I know him. He was the guy Mabel was talking about. "Hey Drew right?"

"How did you know my name?" He looked surprised, raising an eyebrow at me.

"Lucky guess." I smiled. These guys looks harmless and I really needed to take my mind off things. It wouldn't hurt to take a few shots right? "Sure why not?" I shrugged.

I was halfway downing my 7th shot when a strong pair of hands stopped me. "That's enough Jade."

"Dude, the girl stops when she wants to stop. Who are you to stop her?"

I was getting a bit drunk myself, "Yeah. Why do you care? I'll stop whenever I feel like stopping." It doesn't mean that we shared a song together he can suddenly care about me. He should be caring about Mia.

He glared down at me and gave the rest of the guys a threatening stare. "This is my house. My rules. The girl stops drinking. Got that?"

They nodded in response while I stood up and walked away from him and the guys. Why can't he just leave me alone for tonight? "Jade there you are! We have been looking everywhere for you! You have to come and try this!" Katie pulled me before Tyler could catch up to me.

By the time I reached the pool. Mabel was climbing onto a tree to grab a rope. Once she got it, she started to swing down from the tree like Tarzan, letting go halfway through to fall into the water. Now that is the distraction that I needed. I took off my shirt in public with my gear underneath and made way to the tree.

"Where are you going?"

Smirking I turned to face him. "Well Tyler. To have fun of course."

Xavier was the one in charge of passing the rope to the next person. He looked at me disbelievingly for a few seconds before passing the rope to me. "Be careful. Tyler wouldn't be happy if you got hurt."

"Who cares about Tyler?"

I climbed up the tree, swinging down until halfway through I did a black flip and let go. Falling into the water head first. Everybody at the pool cheered for my little stunt except for one furious figure who was standing at the edge of the pool.

"What the hell are you doing Jade? First the drinking and now this? Your drunk! You can't simply go doing dangerous stuff while you are drunk! You could get hurt!"

" What does it look like? I'm trying to have fun! You have no right to boss me around. It doesn't mean that getting paired up with you and sharing a moment just now gives you the chance to boss me around. Don't try to control me. Try Mia instead I'm sure she would be happy to be by your side." I screamed back at him. Lucky for us nobody was looking at our way.

"Your drunk." He sighed, putting his palms to his face. "Let me take you home."

"No. I'm staying." I said stubbornly.

"Fine. Then at least let me take care of you until you're all sober up."

Seeing his eyes I caved. "Fine...... But just for a little while."

"Just for a little while" He smiled.
