Chapter 29 - The Balcony Scene?

Jade's Pov

'Knock! Knock!'

I froze and stopped whatever I was doing once I heard a knocking sound at my balcony. Its late now and nobody's home. My parents were still out working and Mabel was out with the girls. I on the other hand decided to stay home to finish my homework or should I say mend my partially broken heart. Partially.

'Knock! Knock! Knock!'

The knocking didn't stop and it was getting louder. What if it was a robber trying to break in? Seriously? Do you think a robber would knock before he breaks in. A robber could be out knocking and here I am halfway down the stairs from my studies, coming out with all the worst possibilities that could happen to me. What if it isn't a human? Okay I have got to stop now......

'Knock! Knock! Knock! Knock!'

"Okay I'm coming....." I mumbled.

This is it. It's time to face your death Jade.

But when I walked out. Nobody was there. I guess it must have been a tree branch or something that was knocking on my window.

"Boo!"

I screamed when somebody suddenly scared me from behind. Luckily he caught me by the waist before I fell off the balcony. Holding me tight to him. Although I could still hear his silent laughter. A laugher that I've gotten used to.

Pushing him away harshly from me I said furiously. I'm mad. Really mad. "Jerk!"

"You. Know. How. I. Hate. Being. Scared." Hitting his chest repeatedly to let him know how pissed I am. He didn't seem to mind, doing nothing to stop me. Realizing that his letting me to do this. I took my chance. " I hate you! I freaking hate you! I thought I was going to be dead. I thought a ghost was here ready to posses me! I. Hate. You."

"Feeling better now?" I finally stopped when he grabbed my hands and stopped me. "If not you can continue hitting me. I don't mind. As long as your happy you can turn me into a punching bag and I won't mind."

"I'm done." I said softly, walking towards the balcony. Leaning both of my hands there, I enjoyed the cold wind blowing towards my face. This feels calming... This is what I need after what has happened today......

Tyler on the other hand is leaning one sided at the balcony, his face staring at me the whole time. At least5 minutes has gone by before he finally broke the silence.

"Since you're feeling better......can you..." He paused. Waiting for me to look at him. "Can you tell me why you did that."

"Did what?"

"You know what." Oh that...... Act innocent Jade. I repeat keep calm and act innocent. "Why did you bail on me and left me with Mia. I thought we were fine? What happened?" He stepped closer towards me. I could feel my heartbeat racing now.

"Why are you at my house Tyler? More specifically why are you at my balcony in the middle of the night?" There that should do it, change the topic and distract him. Smiling I turned away, walking towards to the other end of my balcony.

"Don't. Don't answer a question with another question. I asked a question first." He pulled me gently to face him. His voice was stern but his eyes were soft.

"Well you are at my house. Therefore you need to answer my question first."

"You are infuriating. You know that?" He smiled.

"I've heard." I smirked in return.

"Fine. I am here because I remembered that a certain someone told me that she thinks that a guy climbing up her balcony is a sweet gesture and that she will take him as her boyfriend at the spot. I'm not hoping for the boyfriend part but I do hope that you would agree to my request or at least consider it."

I could feel my heart beating faster now. I actually can't believe that he remembered that. The last time I told him that was when we were both talking about romantic gestures. My cheeks are having a light shade of pink now so I quickly turned away. He can't know that just his words could have an effect on me.

"So......What's your point?" I asked nervously.

"Would you please come back to be my partner? Please? You're the only one I want to sing with. Not Mia. Not anyone else. You. Just you."

"You didn't do it properly." I laughed. Trying to lighten up the mood. What he just said is too good to be true. Does he even mean it? Is he just saying this on a dare? What if this is all just a prank to humiliate me? Then again his not that type of person. Unless I'm wrong which I tend to be.

"What?" The look on his face now. A mixture of confusion and awkwardness. It's just so cute......

"Troy Bolton singed in order to win Gabriella back. You missed the singing part."

He shook his head and sighed, " Fine. Whatever you say Jade."

Tyler Henderson took a deep breath and actually started to sing. "When I see your face. There's not a thing that I would change. Cause your amazing. Just the way you are." He paused looking at me for a reaction and then taking another deep breath. "And when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for awhile. Cause your amazing. Just the way you are."

"There. You happy now? Is this enough?" He groaned.

Words cannot describe how happy I am now. Tyler did all these just to ask me to be his partner back. So instead I hugged him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and placed my head on his chest.

He took no time hugging me back, wrapping his hands on my waist. Pressing his chin on top on my head. "Does this mean yes?"

Since my face was hidden from him, he couldn't see the wide smile on my face. "It certainly doesn't mean a no." Secretly taking in a breath. He smells nice. Really nice. I don't know if it's me but he smells like vanilla.

"Then it's all worth it."

He pulled slightly back, taking his right hand to brush a strain of my hair from my face, tucking it back behind my ear. His palm gently cupping my face. His eyes were lock to mine but I could see him looking at my lips for a few seconds before looking back at me. He was inching closer to my face, repeating the same gesture again and again.

I didn't move at all from my place. Is he going to do what I think his going to do? For one final time his eyes flicker to mine and then my lips. My response was whatever a normal teenage girl would do. I closed my eyes, waiting for it. This is it...This is the moment that every girl dreams for, the moment where I always read in books but never dreamt of ever happening to me in reality. This is it I'm going to lose my first kiss to Tyler Henderson.

"Jade! I'm Home!"

We jumped apart. Geez. "Who the fu-. I mean who's that?" He asked.

I took a few seconds to screw my head straight. "That was my sister. You have to go now before she see's you." Pushing him to the edge of the balcony. My cheeks are bright red now. That was one of the most awkward moments ever. Who knew what we could have done if we were not interrupted.

"I'll see you tomorrow Jade." He said before climbing off the balcony and hopping on to the tree. "Oh and if you hadn't notice. We are not done yet."

Once he said that I could feel my cheeks burning up. I think if I were put into a competition with a tomato I would put the tomato to shame. "See you" was all I manage to say.

"Well well well. What do we have here?"

Shit.
