Kesha's Point Of View:

I woke up with Danny holding me in his arms. I had a nightmare that Hawk was back. He kidnapped me and made me his queen. I hated it so much, I ended up dying. Danny's eyes opened up. He studied my face. "What's wrong Kesha?"

I got out of his arms and went out to the kitchen. The whole apartment looked like nothing had happened. Danny followed me, only wearing pants. "Kesha..."

"You have to go." I said with no emotion. Danny blinked. "I'm not worth it. I cause a lot of problems. Plus Hawk might be coming soon. You have to go."

Danny tried to come near me. I backed away. "Leave! Just go! Don't come back, I'm not worth fighting for any longer!" I wanted him to go. After last night, he wasn't going to leave willingly. I was more afraid of Hawk finding out Danny saved me last night from death. Danny just stared at me. He looked lost more than anything. Tears came to my eyes. I blinked for a second. Then Danny appeared right in front of me. He quickly kissed me before I could turn my head away. His eyes met mine. "You're trying to protect me?" I didn't know what to say. His hands held my face. "I'm not leaving you alone here. You almost died last night." His voice was strong.

Shaking my head, "I'd rather die than see you go. I'll come back again."

He raised his eye brow at me. "You want to go through all that again? Relearn who I am, the painful past life memories?" I sniffled. He kissed my head. "Hawk is not going to take away my only reason for living. If you die again, I'm going with you." My eyes widened when he said that. "117 years is a long time to wait for someone. I'll be close to a thousand years old by then. I'm staying. You will have to tell me you hate me to make me leave." Danny kissed me. I was melting away. Then my stomach ruined the moment. He pulled away smiling. "Hungry?" I nodded.
Before he could speak, I spoke up. "Can you grab me some chunky doughnuts down the road? They're really good and I've been eating them for breakfast every morning." He raised his eyebrow at me. "Please?" I begged. I wasn't trying to make him leave. They were just that good.

Danny crossed his arms. "I'm not leaving you alone."

"What if he sends someone to check on me and you're here? It's only ten minutes." Danny sighed. I ran over to a drawer and handed him $6. He took the money and pointed his finger at me. "Door stays locked until I return. If you need help, go be around a bunch of humans. They won't do anything in front of them. Understand?" I nodded at him. He kissed me and left. I shut and locked the door.

I turned my back for two minutes to go into the living room. The front door, opened by itself. Looking over my shoulder, it was the guy from last night that helped save me. I looked away. "Danny will be back soon."

He came in and shut the door. "I'm not here for Sitheyn. I'm here to talk to you." He made his way over to me.

I watched him. The way he moved makes me nervous. "How can I trust you?" My body slowly moved down onto the couch.

"I know most monsters you've met want to use you. I personally dont want anything from you." He sat next to me, still giving me space. "Hawk wants you as his queen right?" I had a bad feeling. It was hard to trust any other monster other than Danny. "I need your help to knock him off his thrown." His eyes met mine.

"How?" I was now curious to know. Considering I was a human with no special powers going up against a monster king.

He licked his lips. "I just want you to use your feminine ways to make him talk. The last king disappeared from the throne and was later found dead. I believe, Hawk had killed him for the crown." I started thinking. How could I get him to talk about that? I barely had any knowledge of Danny's world. What would he say? Danny is in a protective mode right now. "Sitheyn will be fine."
